no... it's 'go up and get fined' or 'stay down and have a transfer embargo' (assuming that we make a relatively big operating deficit). first set of fines will be based on losses from this season and fines levied next season - the only ways that we can avoid the fine are: 1) not getting promoted or 2) not making a loss bigger than the threshold.

yo-yo club is probably the worst possible outcome - a fine every time we get promoted would cripple us financially.

Get fined but surely the premier league prize money would dwarf any financial levy?

It never ceases to amaze me the level of blind faith many of our own fans place in Tony Fernandes, particularly on this forum. I, along with a smattering of QPR fans are somewhat disenfranchised with Fernandes and his behaviour. If QPR are hit with a fine, penalised etc, I expect the usual excuses to be wheeled out "But what about Chelsea/Man City?", "It was Mark Hughes fault". Its all utterly idiotic.

I'm expecting the usual rhetoric of "Well Fernandes can't be clueless because he is a successful business man". So what? And so what if he is a nice bloke - which incidentally I think he is - we are paying for Fernandes naivety. Park Ji-Sung represents everything that has been wrong with the Fernandes reign. Some of our signings and wages paid is tantamount to misappropriation of club fund, quite simply if there is any fine to be paid it should be directly from Fernandes pocket. If a huge fine was levied against the club and Fernandes decided to abandon ship, I wonder whether the adulation he is afforded would still be quite so forthcoming.

I think all in all this is a pretty depressing time to a QPR fan. The novelty of a wealthy owner chasing the dream and buying in big names has worn a little thin now. We're a small club and we've embarrassed ourselves and hardly ingratiated ourselves to other clubs in the Championship who are frankly cheesed off with us.

So please. No more Fernandes love. Some of us are bored of it.

You right it's all Tony's doing. He's caused all this. There isn't four member of our board, just Tony the clown. Amit, Ruben and Kamarudin all have no say and it's just Tony's fault. Dazzer and Sminky both make interesting points, but I have to come down on the side of Dazzer. After all, the Mail is a notorious Tory sensationalist rag that rarely gets the facts right. But, let's hope this is not one of those very rare occasions when they come close to getting something right.

What do I want? Surely what every QPR fan wants, a period of consolidation. Selling players on huge wages isn't going to be easy, Wright-Phillips for example, his career is dead and he's cashing in on mediocrity. Firstly we need to start seeing more coming through the youth ranks and improve our scouting network to seek out young talent regardless of where it is. Secondly, realistic transfer targets, Duvan Zapata was never going to sign for QPR, yet Fernandes attempted to sign him despite surely knowing Napoli were going to get him. Technically this falls into my first point but Fernandes needs to take a step back from actively scouting and attempting to sign the wrong players. Thirdly and most importantly, live within our means. I'm sure a new stadium would be nice but how likely is it that we'd fill out an 25,000 seater stadium and can the club afford that debt on top of everything else? I doubt it.

What he wants is carrying on being a small club as having rich owners has not helped us. Isn't that what you said before. Yea i remember them times, being in old second division with holloway. Always getting told by the tax lot, we are weeks away from closure, having fans having to take care of a few debts. Talks of merging with Brentford and Wycombe. Good times!!!!! Not! Point One - Seeking out young talent. How do you expect us to complete with other clubs on that front if we don't have the facilities then? Or do you think other clubs aren't doing and we are just too stupid to try doing it. What do you think the new training ground complex is intended for or have you missed that. Clearly Tony is a gambling man and isn't thinking of the future by trying to develop a state of the art complex facility is he? Oh wait, but can we afford it? If we can't then how can we satisfy your first comment to lure the best young talent from afar?

Point Two - Nice to be linked with Duvan Zapata in the first place but I've not lost sleep over that fact we never signed him. It was always never going to happen if a bigger club came knocking and that was exactly what happened. Same happened with Hooper who went to Norwich. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out but then again you don't seem to have cottoned on yet.

Point Three - Live within your means. Are you for real? Next you'll trying to promote seminars and your preaching sessions that you run where you go around the country offering wise words of wisdom on how to rid the world of debt, save everyone from poverty and feed the starving. You're believing an article in a newspaper as gospel, the Daily Fail of all papers. All Premiership clubs are not really living within their means. We're not in the same league as some. Perfectly sustainable providing you have a plan and a means to manage it. Championship clubs (I think I remember reading somewhere) can't exceed debt by more than £8million a season - is that living within their means? Define living within your means if you don't know the full picture of all the in's and out's and dealings of the club? Next you'll be saying we were paying Samba £100k a week because it said so in the Mail.

As for your comment about would we fill out a 25,000 seater stadium... Chelsea fill a 45,000 seater stadium and we were once a bigger club than they were prior to our demise and their rise the other way. Fulham were getting 6,000 post Al Fayed. That list goes on. Being in the Premiership we'd fill a 30-35,000 seater stadium if the prices were right. Revenue in the top division makes up somewhere between 0.5 and 4% of your total income. A marginal figure. The model works perfectly in the Bundesliga and you pay no more than €30 a game. If you said 40,000 seater stadium then I might of acknowledge one of your points, but instead I'm now really starting to think you're just another Fulham troll on here for a wind up.
