  • Redknapp hints at new contract for Ale Faurlin

"I'd have to speak to the owners, but you wouldn't bomb a player out because he's injured. That's not something you'd do.

You don't cast him to one side without a contract because he's not fit. The people who own this club wouldn't do that - not a chance."

Harry Redknapp insists Alejandro Faurlin will not be "cast him to one side" by QPR as the midfielder recovers from another long-term injury.
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

    Good man.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I thought this was the thing the club should do but didn't think they would, well done QPR! We are getting or heart and soul back.

Always knew they'd do that. TF said so.

This gives Ale a fighting chance and incentive to recover and get back on the pitch.. good psychology and management.

My only concern is that he's now injury prone, and with the injury he had and the one hes got now I just cant see him getting back to his best and even if he did it would be only a matter of time before another injury.

Would it be worth looking to bring someone in to replace him permanently??

BUT that aside when he is fit he is a quality player, always gives 100% and would easily walk into my starting 11.

as redknapp says, is there anyone that has come back the same player after 2 cruciate injuries?

Excellent news, and backs what Tony apparently said in the pub after that game. Ale will be looked after.

                Just as it should be.

AJ? Or is his being injury prone part of the problem?

AJ isn't the player he was imo. Still good though. Ale is young though, he has that on his side.

Tony really rates Ale, so I reckon he would have been offered a new contract. All contracts will be done at the end of the season
I came here to chew gum and kick ass,and I'm all outta gum!

I think Ale's problem might be that that he never had pace, so post injury he has less pace.....

                              Good!

But Faurlin has probably got to find himself a new way of playing when he eventually makes his comeback,
In that respect, he should ask Clint Hill for some decent pieces of advice..
