Oh, that it explains it then.

        Paper talk for sure!

There is not a club on the planet that will be offering a 33 year old Yossi Benayoun 65 grand a week, to be honest I doubt he has offers on the table for even half of that. Benayoun's agent Pini Zahavi is well known for this sort of thing, using the press to create a bit of buzz around a player and in turn get the best possible wage and signing on fee for his player. Harry's been round the block far too many times to fall for that though.

Personally I don't want him here anyway, past his best and expensive.

As for what Bon's on about, Christ only knows!

Never that clever even when he was 'at his best'. No thanks.

I'm pretty sure outside of Barca and Real, Spanish clubs are fairly stingy with their wages! 65k a week, no thanks - even in the Prem let alone in the Champ!

I'm not quite up to speed with Spanish footy at the mo, but didn't Malaga go nearly belly up the other season ?
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

I would only offer him a pay as you play or short term contact until May largely based on apperances and add ons that said I do not wnat him.

No way can a player who has been without a club for the best part of 6months and who is not match fit demand 65k

Niko did. Wonder what dough he is on? Starting to think he was a mistake.

Kranjcar is on loan so our arrangement will be with his club and not directly with the player. Bit early to be calling him out as a mistake, clearly has a problem or 2 with injuries but at times has looked absolute class since he joined!

After a blistering debut I also have taken a step back and thought I need a longer look before saying hes as good as some have made out.

                          Looks shot to me.

Needs to play in a setup similar to what we had with Taarabt under Warnock imo, but due to injuries/fitness doubt he would be as effective.

Decent player but we could probably get better players for less in January.

Agreed. His name was hardly mentioned during the Reading game.Seems to drift in and out of games and not providing the impact I thought he would.A bit disappointing really.

When he returns to full fitness, he will be fine. Even at his current level, he is too good for the majority of teams in this division.
