Actually, I think it was a great bit of business. He didn't want to play in the Championship so our choices were sell or lend. Not only did we correctly decide to lend in the hope that we bounce straight back and will then have him back in June, we also get paid a loan fee to boot!

Seems to me that this was handled as well as it could have been.

No player in this day and age will stay with a team fighting relegation when he can go to a top six team or even better, one playing champions league football. Its not even about transfer money, the players run the game now.
Kevin, your missing my point,of course they'd still want him if we went up but we wouldn't have to sell him like we would if we were still stuck in the champs, and as for a team fighting relegation he came to us last season didn't he when we were in the mire and Newcastle were in a better situation, and how do you know we'd be fighting relegation anyway next year as I think the board have learned there lesson and with Harry onboard we could do a lot better than some people think with some proper additions. As other posters have said Remy seems to have a lot of respect for Harry and I don't think it is set in stone that he'd go to a top 6 side straight away,my gut feel is he'd be with us until at least Christmas next year and then if things are not great of course they may offload, all depends on this season if he ever pulls on the hoops again, but if we get promoted I honestly think he will be
