Bit harsh mate, if I came on here and called myself JalalabadRanger9, I think you would be asking a very fair question, if you asked me if I was an Afgan?

Assuming is when you're just guessing, and the fact you 'lived' there for a while I think it's a pretty fair mistake.

Going back to my original post, I ended up with only 2 or 3 serious replies.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Shouldn't of needed to do this but I'll break it down.

        80 train fare return.
120 cheap hotel for 2 nights.
        150 alcohol for 2 nights
50 for eating out cheap for 2 nights, unless he wants takeaway.
        25 football ticket

Thats on the cheap and 425 already I could go on kirill, like I said any city centre won't be cheap regardless of it being a dive

got you mixed up with West mate.

Not that it matters as west is one of the better posters here.

Now that is definitely overkill. Look at the next line in your budget, 50 quid for food and drink should suffice for a couple of days.

Kirill do you see matty sitting at a table with a bottle of wine?

Binge drinking in this country is expensive.

Only way to bring it down it if he drinks in the rooms before going out but my figures are pretty accurate

If you're in Estonia. I'd say 150 is fairly conservative.

But it's all relative £425 might be a lot to you but it ain't to others, the real question here is why you think what matty spends his hard earned on is any of your business?

It is probably the sort of thing I would of done back in my youth, but his reaction did surprise me, as he is a poster I have always felt was quite sensible and articulate and I guess the response did feel like a kick in the teeth after just trying to question whether it was the right thing to do, for someone living in surrey on the average wage.

I appreciate fans that spend fortunes following their club and everyone has different outgoings, ie living at home, morgage, rent etc but I just felt that 400 pound was crazy money. It is not like a holiday abroad, it's just a wkend in blackpool where he might go on a donkey ride, head up the tower, meet a girl for a 1 night stand but for me the cost is beyond sensible. I know you have to live while you're young but being a financial advisor for nearly 8 years, I find some of the money todays youngsters spend is why they should expect a lifetime of debt, which brings added stress etc which leads to many other issues.

I read today that you can buy a season ticket for Dortmund and it will cost you 260 euro's. Quite incredible compared to the rip off of the premier league. I know they have standing sections but at that price, i'd watch it standing on my head.

Not having a pop at matty because it interests me that he thinks nothing of it spending that kind of money but it does just highlights what a rip off country we live in.
Wow. You seriously ain't the full shilling.

                          Well said pal.

Must be said, I'm half flattered though that WeAre takes such an interest in me

Flattered and also a tad scared that he will turn up at me work one day or something clutching a pair of used underwear begging me to sign them with a green sharpy.

Each to their own, I say. If anyone can afford it then why not?
I spent £400 last month for a weekend away - mind you it was me, my wife and our 2 kids. And it was in Nuremberg. Gotta love Ryanair!
