Golden opportunity for him. What was the betting that our overloaded midfield would almost get wiped out only a few games into the season ? Diakite should thank his lucky stars and show what he can do.

Might be able to adjust his tackling to the (slightly) slower pace of the Championship in comparison to the PL!

You could say the same about Joey but plenty prepared to take the chance on him. Difference is that Diakite is still young enough to learn.

Yes Joey certainly has changed his temperament, so no reason why Diakite can not change his.
Having said that, if Diakite has not calmed down a bit on the pitch, I would not play him. It would be disruptive to our current style of play ie keeping possession.
Where would he play? If he plays behind Charlie he would have to slow right down to be able to feed the ball through. Maybe that is what Charlie is lacking, someone playing the ball through to him, which is where he is strongest in taking his goals.
So to summarise; if Diakite has slowed right down and is capable of playing good balls through to Charlie then go for it. I still would not trust his tackling.
Did he play well for EDS last night?

Has played one game- Swindon- in a year. And he hasn't been freaking injured!!!!! A wrong un who ought be got rid of, not played.
1 ok game? Ridiculous comment. Love the way people feel the need to exagerate to prove a point. If he had 1 good game, why were everyone so pleased we signed him permanently? He played well against Arsenal, Spurs, Swansea. He was also more than decent against man u when we were down to 10 men. When he went off against Sunderland, we lost all our momentum. People still go on about him because he looked a very decent player in the premiership against good teams. He made a difference and looked to impact games. How many players just get by, we want players that excite us. Unfortunately for whatever reason he has been rubbish since then. I can't deny that. However, he's young and he has played well in premiership games before. If we could stick with him and sort his issues out, he could well be a good player for us.

He is a different class to Karl Henry. When he stayed on the pitch - which admittedly was often not more than half a game... - he was invariably one of our best players. If his off-field problems have been sorted out - and if it was depression, that doesn't make him mad or unfit for life - then I would welcome him back. Another case of short memories on here, but then we are used to that with Adel.

YEP. GOOD ACCURATE POST ON HERE CROYDON JACK!

i was one of the many that wanted diakite to sign on a perm.

hence it has not worked. time to ship him out and wish him good luck with sorting his demons out.

that also goes for the other cripples at our club that has only managed a handful of games in the past 3 years.

no room for passengers. are we a charity shop or a professional football club?

....the only problem I have with him is I always seem to be holding my breath when ever he goes in for a tackle.

Diakite is a midfield player owned by QPR. He has not been playing because QPR has a lot good midfielders.
Many of these midfielders are injured and some could be back in 2/3 weeks which is somethin like 1/2 games away.
Options are to get in loans (we dont know if they are better than Diakite) or sign players nobody wants like Benayoun.
Awailable for saturdays match would be Barton, Henry and Jenas - all have been constantly in the team or as subtitutes.
Other senior options are Diakite and Ephraim.
This a no brainer for HR - Diakite must be on the bench - I believe it is a good option because we know Diakite can play
