      A) Have a got the words correct
      B) Singing the blues is a term for when your down and glum.... so why would you sing the blues when rangers win and chelsea lose,

Mate ,Singing the Blues used to be played over the tannoy before matches in the very early 80s ( maybe before, but 81 was my first season ), the Loft changed the words and the rest is history.

Also Captain Jack goes against all PTS ( personal track safety rules ) by meeting people by the railway track ,no matter what he has in his hand ,unless of course its a PTS card ,he`s wearing an approved hi vis vest ,safety shoes and carrying a torch/flag to stop any on coming trains.

The reason Kevin Gallen could wear his magic hat was because he was a such a lovely chap and was a two footed footballer. I heard though that Kiwomya did I fact come from Arsenal and did cost us fu(k all !!!

Definitely couldn't see Paddy complaining if we turned up with our V & C.

You've got nothing wrong - the lyrics make no sense and your assessment is completely correct. Whoever came up with the words clearly didn't know what "singing the blues" actually means. But hey, let's not be pedantic

Have to admit that my old man never said to me that I should be a sh!tsea fan and that I swore back at him. In fact my dad hated football.
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.
