  • Blackburn Rovers report £36.5m loss after Premier League exit

In the past I have been a bit sceptical about Jordan Rhodes as a realistic transfer target but with news like this in the public forum you'd have to say there is a good chance the player might be available for a reasonable transfer fee. Anyone else think that a cheeky bid in January might be worth considering?

We already have 3 strikers competing for 1 position so can't see it personally.

You mean 1 striker and 2 raspberry ripples.

Get shot of the ripples and get him in.

        Class act.

if austin got injured we would have johnson and chevanton. They are not going to get us promoted. We need 1 more striker.

Chevanton's short term contract will expire by the end of Janaury, no guarantee Zamora will be fit (or able) to play and every chance AJ will be on the sidelines.

I'd happily take Rhodes but he will cost in excess of £8m, possible £10m - so that's only likely IF we sold Remy for a similar amount.

            IMO

Oh God, not again.....will there ever be a transfer window without the Defoe to QPR rumour ?

Won't happen. Even if he leaves Spurs, there'll be no shortage of Premier sides more attractive to him and his World Cup ambitions.

Time will tell. We are promotion favourites so he will be in the prem with us for the world cup if and when we go up, and we pay better wages than any club already up who would want him.

One player is not gonna get us promoted no matter how good.....its a team game last I looked.

Harry's not stupid to think Rhodes is anywhere near being in the same league as Remy. Anyone who thinks that are on a different planet. Ignore what Harry has said about some of the players who left us. He'd have Remy back in the blink of his eye and the twitch in his head. Rhodes ain't nowhere near Premiership quality, where as Remy will be one of the top scorers in the Premiership this season and in next years World Cup. Not even worth having a debate over IMO.

Therefore will get snapped up by a bigger/established prem club in the summer whether we go up or not.

Missed the headline about 36.5m loss did we?!!!

Totally agree that he'd be bad business at 8m, my point was that Blackburn might need the money and accept a bit less!

thats no way to speak about andy johnson. every game that he has played..........10 or 12 he has given his all for us. i hope the club supports him and gives him a new 5 year contract!
all you care about is the club saving a few quid.

absoultly horrible to talk like that about a player who is always injured!

                              sorry could'nt help it

que the responses that he has not been at the club longer than another individual or was not part of warnock fc promotion 4 years ago or his injury is not as bad. yawnnnnnnnnnnnnn.
