Yes we need another striker to take some of the load off Charlie.
But tbh what we lack is any creativity or goals from midfield. Think we need to offload a couple and get a winger and attacking midfielder in.
    Defensively we are superb.

Yes we need a midfielder who can penetrate the defence and score goals. Hoilett's finishing is horrible and kranjcar only shots from outside the box and doesn't get inside. Matt Phillps is the only one who can sometimes get inside and score but we need someone in the mdfield as well not only the flanks.

We definitely need an attacking central midfielder with an eye for goal, and an eye for a good pass. I think we hoped Nico would fulfill that role but he is too slow and tries too many ambitious flicks. I don't think Danny Ings of Burnley is an out and out forward - tends to play a bit deeper and contributes also to defensive side of game. His type would be ideal but hard to find. Craig Bryson of Derby would again be excellent. We should be looking at Leagues 1 and 2 and also the Scottish leagues for players in the 21-26 age range that can fit this role.

We are crying out for creativity! I was hoping Kranjar would be like taarabt was for us in this league but that hasn't Happened.
We need another winger who can beat a man or two and then whip in a decent cross. Charlie is excellent in the air but we don't supply enough crosses.
Hoilett is so frustrating, immensely talented but also very lazy and never picks the right ball.
Wish we still had routeledge tbf... Quality player. Maybe if Swansea get once a cheeky bid for him

Hitchcock... Austin... 50/50 AJ... I count 2 and a half
I think we need someone on the cheap who can cover when necessary but most important is an attacking mid with the drive to get forward and force the others forward. What is the point in having more strikers when none of them can get service

Hitchcock.. aint got a look in unfortunately so cant count him.. AJ, plays 2 games and is injured for next 3 or 4 games.
I count 1 going by our season so far...

Austin has had the most chances and shots of target then any other striker in the league, going by stats.. he gets chances!! and would be top scorer in league if he took some of the chances his had..

Take a look.. we need a striker!!

One up front can be even more effective in this division than in the Prem because big lumpy Championship centre halves don't know how to position themselves against a roving number 10 - which is one of the reasons why Adel tore this division apart. Our problem, surely, is we don't get the extra midfield player into that dangerous space twenty/ thirty yards from goal. And if they are there, they can't do anything with it. For the most part our midfield are miles behind the loan striker. Stanley is right that Jenas is about the only midfield player who seems to get that, he just isn't anything like as good as Adel. I had high hopes for Nico but he hasn't done it so far. Short of getting a Tom Ince type player (won't happen) think we would prob be better with two up top. But that wd only work if Barton had someone better to play alongside. With Henry or Carroll we are very weak in midfield which is probably one of the reasons why Harry has felt the need for three in the centre of midfield.

I agree. We have had midfielders in those positions on numerous occasions, coming onto a ball at the edge of the box, but the shooting has been atrocious! O'Neil has demonstrated several times that he couldn't hit a cow's a55 with a banjo, Hoillett just shoots at peoples legs, Nico has dragged a few wide recently, and Phillips' recent long range goal was a wicked deflection that would likely have not troubled the keeper otherwise. And it seems that we shoot (poorly) at the wrong times and when our midfielders do get a decent opportunity to shoot they would rather pass it to somebody else.

I absolutely agree that we need another fit striker but I don't think it is that black and white - we also need goals from others in the team.

Ahhhh Tom Ince. Now that would be a great signing.

The thing I cant get my head round is that he played 2 strikers at the start and we won near enough every game.. AJ got injured and he changed it :/

It was almost like he didn't want to play 2 up but we kept winning so he didn't have a reason to change to what he prefers...

Just wish he would of gone out at the start of season and got that attacking central midfielder.. Carroll took the no 10 which I find baffling because his a sideways and backwards midfielder not an attacking!!

I guess once AJ got injured he had no experienced options.
