After yesterday's performance, do you think he should be dropped from the strting 11 and be replaced by Faurlin? My worry is that Faurlin isn't as good as he was before getting injured.

Think its unfair to single one specific player out. We was below par all over the pitch. Weren't at the game but watch it live on my laptop. Most of the pressure Burnley put us under was from us giving the ball away far far too cheaply. He weren't the only one, Barton, Hoilett and O'Neil were all just as bad.
For their first goal I thought Henry was fouled and the penalty for me was very harsh too. The slightest bit of pressure we put them under they didn't coupe well with either, but the result stands and can't be changed now. It's all about bouncing back in the right manner. Wednesday night is important and 3 points there and the game against Burnley will all be forgotten.

They all had below par games, but Henry's confidence was shot by the two early mistakes
I disagree with your take on the two goals, Henry dawdled and was robbed of the ball, and now having seen the replays, it was absolutely a nailed on pen.
Agree totally with your last point though, how we respond to our first setback is all important.Last edited by DeepcutHoop; 27-10-2013, 02:44 PM. Reason: Not goals, mistakes. Need more proofreading

Harsh on Henry. Yes had a mare but has actually generally looked a useful addition. Yesterday for me was mainly about gifting possession. The key factor was I think Henry and Barton. For latter he had one of those games he had quite a few of in his first season. Too many wasted passes which gave away possession both putting us under pressure but also breaking up some promising play going forwards. Just one of those games. Has done really well overall this season. If those two don't work though they are the key links from defence through to attack so whole system breaks down. Puts defence under pressure and no service to wide players or up front meaning we carry little threat.
I know Hoillett was selfish yesterday but they struggled with him and I would be very interested to see him and Phillips from the start supported by an effective couple of players in the centre. Think we would roast most defences in this division.
As for 'Arrold's overall tactics this season they have worked most of the time even if it hasn't always been pretty. However against the better teams in particular we can't rely on staying solid and hoping on snatching 1-0. We have some great players in midfield, a very good striker in Austin so sometimes should go for it and let the other teams worry about us. We are very strong in this league and should be confident going into every game home or away.

This is how we should set up away at Wigan. We are solid at the back and in the middle and should look to use pace up top to open teams up

I haven't been able to watch much more than highlights this season but saw the complete match Saturday and must admit Henry struggled! The result and his performance maybe would have changed had he buried the early scoring chance he had instead of shooting right at the keeper! Bring on Wigan!@gatorTFC

I thought the first goal was Bartons fault if honest. Hes tracking the run of Ings stride for stride he gives it and keeps going and Barton stopped tracking him and he went through on goal and scored. If Barton keeps following him instead of switching off they dont score.
As for the Pen Deeps I have seen it and its not a nailed on pen for me. Barton stands his ground, hes does not even put a tackle in, and the geezer hits him and goes down or at least thats how I saw it.
We have let in i think 6 goals this season and Barton has been involved arguably in four of them (Huddersfiled, Millwall 2nd, two against Burnley) He is defo a top player but I think he does get caught sleeping every now and then but rather be with him then without
