Lot of over the top comments from people who didn't go yesterday so thought it worth putting some perspective on it.

Burnley worked extremely hard at shutting us down and played their 4-4-2 very well, always getting the full backs to join in and playing a high back line to allow them to close the space and press the player in position. Teams doing this will always cause us a problem as with the team yesterday our only threat in behind is Holliet, and he likes to come short to receive it thus allowing their back four to press high. Add to that the fact our passing was off was always going to make it difficult and when you add the fact Henry is slow in possession you could almost see their first goal coming. Attacking wise everything was through the middle and neither of our full backs were particularly effective attacking wise. In fact Simpson whilst solid defensively always turns back never beats anyone and rarely plays a decent ball into the box.

Having said that all is not lost, as some on here seem to be suggesting. Hopefully this will be a wake up call and Rednapp and his coaching side will decide on a formation they want to play and pick the best players to fit the formation rather than the other way around. Oneill is a decent player but can't play in the wide role as they tried yesterday. If you want to play 4-2-3-1 then you need Holliet on one side and either Phillips or SWP on the other with kranjear behind the striker.

A win on Wednesday will make it all look a whole lot better, let's hope we give ourselves a chance, hopefully see as many of you there as possible.

    Sensible post Ricky!

Personally I think we need to get things back to 4-4-2 with Johnson and Austin up front together. I suppose the problem with this is where you slot Kranjcar in (who I think has to play). I guess you'd put Barton and Henry or O'Neil in the Middle with Kranjcar on 1 wing and Hoillet or Phillips on the other.

Think if you play kranjear you can only play him in the hole or the lack of a threat in behind with your wide players is again the problem. Don't get me wrong think he is an excellent player but need to fit him in the side correctly. Not opposed to 4-4-2 but again he needs to decide on a system and then pick the players best suited to the system. Currently I think he is a little the other way with too much loyalty to certain players.

Too many players had off days and we were beaten by the better side. The overall picture is very good and we only have to wait till Weds to put it right. We've no divine right to win this league and there are going to be days like yesterday, it wouldn't be QPR otherwise. Chins up lads and onwards we march
        From the Hills of Kerry
To the streets of Free Derry

Agree .most people sat near me yesterday were getting more and more annoyed at the passing for passing sake and getting nowhere. And Austin looks a very frustrated . Think we are missing Tom Carroll a lot morethan some on here would like to admit. Anyway onwards and upwards to wigan. See you there!
