  • Got found out today....

Outplayed by a very classy team. One which makes nots of its possession by carrying he ball, passing FORWARD into space, and playing two strikers. They never played a ball across the middle in front of their box. Nor did they have players in midfield (O'Neil) playing with their backs to the goal they were attacking. We were woeful. The team that finished the match ought start against Wigan.

I wouldn't say we were woeful, just predictable, and that's the problem. We've got a classy striker in Chevanton and a classy midfielder in Jenas warming the bench and we're watching Henry and O'Neil playing like they're stuck in treacle.

Harry should have seen this, it was obvious first half, but he seems addicted to this safety-first approach, and we paid the price. No incisiveness versus the league's top team. It took them to score to stir Harry out of his 4-5-1 cave, and by then it was too late. I hope this is the last time we see such a negative team fielded. We've got away with it so far because most of the teams we've played have been poor and the safety-first, possessive approach works well when you've got decent players, because eventually, you'll probably score. But that's not going to work against a team like Burnley. I'm disappointed, watching our midfield was like watching a crab play football.

"a classy midfielder in Jenas" ? Classy? Jenas? wouldnt be in my starting 11 and league 1 might suit him better imo

Well all right, how about decent? He's certainly a better option than O'Neil and/or Henry when we need to attack, not sit back and get battered. Anyway, that was a small part of the overall argument -the fact is that 4-5-1 was way too predictable, and we got found out. And I'm really bored of watching an isolated Charlie Austin with O'Neil playing like a crab.

we were superb against Boro, woeful against Burnley, its a long old season and I'm confident we will be there or thereabouts. DON'T PANIC
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross

Yes, that's hardly surprising though is it, since Boro were ****, and Burnley good. It's not rocket science.

I'm not panicking because I trust Harry will get it right and we've got some fantastic players, I'm just frustrated after watching that defeat.

here is some more rocket science, we were never going to remain unbeaten all season

We were as poor today as we were against Yeovil. We beat them but lost today. Because at present Burnley are an excellent footballing team. And playing so static, with one up front, in spite of our great statistical start, we are not. You can't win ugly every game....

against millwall we kept putting 10 to 15 passes together only for the full backs to get the ball back , this is not the type of foootball i want to watch . we have to mix it up and go direct at times , take more risks.

We play like that every game. And we won't go up playing like that...

Been punching above our weight since the start of the season really, we all know that deep down. Losing Shteeve may prove to be a serious issue in the coming weeks. Can't say I'm too down about the result, more concerned with HR's tactics, formation & line-ups TBH. Tough month to come, but win, lose or draw QPR now, then, forever.

                            Chill.
