Sorry WATRB's but if you want to chastise someone for that or even think about it then you really might as well pack the board up

We had a bad day at the office today, overall we are a better team than Burnley but we played well below our potantial, were a bit pedestrian and we got caught out. Lots of players had bad days today, it wasnt the best time to do it but we have a chance to make amends quickly on Wednesday night

People should be allowed to come on here and whinge and other people should be allowed to challenge those whinges if they see fit, the rest of the posters will if they wish chime in with their points of views, thats what a forum is all about, it doesnt need over moderating although its a shame some people resort to personal abuse so quickly rather than addressing and challenging the opinion itself
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

      Great Post.
1 bad day and its meltdown for us.
What happened to Forest that many on here rated this season to challenge.
Nothing to worry about yet, we need to improve a lot.
But we are in a better position than most on here thought we would be before the season kicked off!!!

Being "precious" has nothing to do with it. Calling someone a fool for travelling hundreds of miles to support our team is downright disrespectful and unacceptable IMO. And if he then feels the need to criticise the team's performance he has every right without having to be insulted for it.

Its called discussion on a discussion board. These threads come exactly ten minutes after every single loss.
That's the way I see it, to be honest. Discussion and disagreement. The very purpose of a messageboard.

I'm assuming you want my opinion?

Well, for what it's worth I think I would like to have a look at all the words affected by the swear filter. And I think that the vast majority of them would have a place on here if used correctly or in good humoured banter, so I would advocate just having a few that we all should just accept that we shouldn't use. Let's face it, if you cannot compose a few sentences of text without the need to use four letter words beginning with F or C, then you have more problems than you know.

In my own view, it's not so much the words themselves though. What really p15ses me off is the continual desire for certain people to keep harking on about the same issues to other posters. It really is like watching a bunch of two year olds having screaming fits, tantrums and stamping their feet.

Surely it is possible for every single one of us to discuss, argue and even have a heated debate, without the need to continually make references to peoples age, occupation, background, location and other similar things. Isn't it?

I would be very happy to argue the case for all of the above with the others on the team, provided that in return, those who moan, bitch and whinge about things that will not change, just pipe down about them and see how it goes.

I certainly have no intention of wasting my time with such recommendations, only for certain people to say it is acceptable to say what they like when the sole purpose is to set out to be offensive. That's just my take on it though, it isn't down to me to make those decisions alone. Although I'm pretty sure I would get a fair bit of support, if it stopped some behaving like cret1ns.

Can't disagree with any of that. Contra Krill nitwit, I hope isn't a word that will incur an ban. Or even, if sparingly and judiciously used, bellend.

totally agree about the same people/stereotypes/arguements etc that happen all the time......fc uk me it does get boring. good mod you are brighton-fair and game for a chuckle even at your own expense at times-the sign of a decent lad. never had a problem with any mods tbh(i blame the blue stratos) but some need to reel it in a bit-like a bootcamp at times.

It's all about context and intent when it comes to insults IMO, irrespective of any swear-filter.

Yep. A nice insult makes a thread. And can usefully prompt, er, conversation. Never have a problem with you mods. Merely thought Krill a tad heavy handed tonight.

Faaaark me. I wouldn't want to be a Whippet in Burnley tonight. First they turn us over 2-0...... And then those who can read get to laugh their stockings off at this!

The poor things that reside in that town are probably getting joyously Rodgered as we speak!

I haven't actually banned anyone tonight, just warned.
Sometimes it is enough and I am all the happier when it is so.
