It's fairly clear, if we start putting the ball in between him and the goal, he is an instinctive finisher. The lovely little dink over the keeper at Millwall was a case in point.

Using him like Bobby Zamora MkII is not making the most of his abilities.

It's hard for Harry to play a low-risk strategy like we have been doing, and get the ball into the right positions to supply the right ammo to him though.
If he thinks we can go up by being solid at the back and nicking wins at home and draws away, then that's what we're going to see all season.

It's probably enough to get us promoted, but it won't be anywhere near as much fun as the last promotion season.

He's getting very frustrated at the lack of service. He looked very annoyed at Millwall, making run after run with out getting the ball until Kranchar found him with a forward pass.Same today.

Anyone who went, did he actually touch the ball today?? Bloke on sky said after about forty minutes that he hadnt. What a damp squib of a return to your former club eh. Not his fault though, he isnt there to win the ball, just to score when someone passes to him, which we hardly ever do at the moment.

I think the problem is that we've not been playing with natural wingers. Hoilett is a right footed player that plays on the left, meaning he tends to cut inside rather than getting to the byline and crossing balls into the box or playing the ball into space behind defenders.

I think that's the kind of service Austin needs.

Just wasting his ability imo bush. I just think if we played more for him he'd be scoring like Ings. I suppose 'Arry knows best. There's a saying about that goes something like "make sure don't die wondering", but that's what we did. Never played anywhere near our full potential. I think we looked better when we played 4-4-2 earlier in the season

How many times did we put a cross in from a wing today? H wants us to play through the middle and its just not working and hasnt been all season. Combination of riding our luck and poor opposition got us to where we are in the league up to now.

Completely agree with QPRDave.

We are giving him no service at all. Also what is really starting to wind me up is how slow we are to attack. Austin makes 2 or 3 runs and looks for a ball in behind and our midfield play yet another square ball or go back again. Must be incredibly frustrating for Austin.

There's a reason why Burnley have had high scoring forwards in each of the last 3 seasons. They get good balls into to them quickly and in dangerous areas.
