Smart I suppose when we are always a dodgy leg muscle away from losing our best CB. Needed a bit more cover. Or maybe a starter I really have no idea how good this guy is. 68 international caps is quite impressive even though it's for the USA

Always liked the guy (good FM signing) looking forward to seeing him play but my concern is he hasn't played frequently since 2009 the maximum games he's played in a season since then is 14
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

I wanted a CB so bad for cover, good move and makes our team even stronger.

        I expect a 1st place finish now.

USA are 13th in the FIFA rankings (Brazil are 11th). You could say the same if he was English.."68 international caps is quite impressive even though it's for England!" (10th at the mo)

I know the rankings are only a guide and I have no idea if Onyewu is going to cut it. Still, he's cover and that's what we need.

They are a decent international side now and have been for a few years really.

                I won't go there. I am a grown up.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Everyone over here just calls him 'Gooch'. He looked to be a starting CB for the US for multiple WC cycles, but a catastrophic knee injury derailed him shortly after he signed with AC Milan. He was brilliant in his time for Standard Liege and impressed in their CL matches. Gooch won't back down to anyone as illustrated by his training ground fight w/Ibrahimovic while at Milan, and is built like a tank. He gives an honest effort every time on the pitch, but to be fair in the few times I've seen him since the knee injury he has appeared robotic and a shell of what he used to be.
