  • Is it just me...shattered..

I can't quite work out why I'm so shattered by the draw at Millwall. True, I went to bed @ 3am here in Melbourne once we went 2-1 up, totally convinced (as a real sceptic where the R's are concerned) that we'd as good as won against a not-very-good championship outfit (I think they could easily go down). But, I think given all our injuries (doubts about Krajnckar who may have hamstring problems for a few weeks don't help), Simpson, Onouha, Johnson, it was one we really had to win. Also the loss of McLaren will hurt us badly. Still, I think, automatic promotion was ours for the taking as ours had we won at a poor side in Millwall -now I think we'll make the play-offs only. Momentum is everything. If we get a point at Burnley it will now be a fantastic result. Ten men behind the ball must be the way to go next week. Still, play-offs is better than nothing.

If your like this after one game you should see a doc for some type of happy pills or stick head in oven!!!!!!
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

I cant believe how anyone rangers or not cannot see us definite automatic promotion. We are top two with a game in hand to go top and unbeaten, one of only two teams who is in the country. The best squad in the division and massive favourites with every bookmakers. How can there possibly be any doubt in anyones mind?

So true, AND don't forget that this was one of Millwalls most important games of the season! They had been working out for two weeks to grind out a result in a massive derby. Why look at the table? We all know this league inside out and what it is about, on any given day all the teams can beat anyone at home, especially if it's a derby and you're underdog. Just look at our games against Chelsea last season, and those were PL-games!

Not sure how you can come up with we will only make the play offs after 1 game, a london derby, which we didn't lose and whilst we are sitting in 2nd place with a game in hand ? Also going to sleep when we are 2-1 up not sure I could do that :-) We have only played 11 games, which we have won 8 of and drawn 3 so without winning every game how we could better the start we have had. We will lose a game eventually, it happens to all sides and we will slip up occasionally with last minute goals but that is football and why we get so engrossed in it.

I was gutted that we threw away 2 points late on as well but I don't think it will change the momentum for the rest of this long season! With some tough away fixtures ahead it would have been real nice to leave The Den with a victory but we didn't, move on!

In my opinion ten men behind the ball ,is the worst thing we can do ,if we had come at Millwall in the secound half instead of sitting back and tippy tapping it about ,we would have won that match ,i`m sure.

I'm with you,I couldn't believe how we let it slip.Millwall should have been like lambs to the slaughter. How we didn't win I'll never know.Just look at Millwall's results this season.Lost 5-2 at Bournemouth,4-0 at Birmingham,3-0 at Ipswich and worse still, lost 5-1 at home to Derby,0-1 to Huddersfield and 0-1 to Yeovil. No wonder Krancjay was upset the way threw 2 points away.
