82/83 for me too, went to every game home and away, as you could afford to back then, funnily enough though Newcastle away with Keegans goal 0-1 and Wolves away 0-4 and Grimsby in the rain last game, really stick out memory wise and we didn't win any of them ! Won quite a few games 1-0 home and away that season too

some managers will always have great affection from Rangers fans, Olly and Warnock right up there
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble

82/83 for me as I was 18 at the time and I lived for QPR. I hadn't discovered girls by then .... LoL
Under Terry Venables we just seemed invincible and he rates as my all time fave QPR manager since I started going in 1976. Home and away was always great fun.
Check the link and scroll down to the then second division, I just looked and can't believe we had a goal difference of +41. Happy days.
Just look where 'The Filth' finished! They are so lucky they found a benefactor. Their clowns of today don't know but I remember them playing in front of as little as 6000 at Stamford bridge for one home game.

The Wolves away end was a big terrace then, the toilets had no roof on them, and Wolves fans chucked bricks down while having a lash!!
It was also either the season before or after that we beat Wolves 4-0 at Molineux, went to that as well. One of the matches was freezing, snowing if I remember.
What I love about that era, you would see all the same regular faces at away matches. Everyone could afford it.

Only seen 2 promotions, 03/04 was the better one. I felt 10/11 was marred a bit by the faurlin thing.

I went to both those Wolves away matches myself.
The 4:0 loss was late in 1982, December perhaps, our promotion year. Yes it was dark and cold that much I remember.
Our 4:0 win was in the next season on a nice warm and sunny day and early on in the season I believe.
Wolves has always been a place where Rangers had a good turn out and I recall the 4:0 loss we had a pretty large following so typical we lost!

I was exactly the same age, used to stand in the loft and venture around the country as well but i have to say for me winning the champ was an unbelievable season especially with the 19 game run and the cardiff and watford trips

I remember leaving the county ground on boxing day after Gallen snatching a last minute equaliser to make the game 3 3 and thinking that point could be huge come the end of the season

Did we draw with Brentford home and away that season or was it the season of the Bircham screamer
