It might have been mentioned have not read all the replies but on his FB page he posted a hat trick he got against Brum in the early 70's when we beat them 5-2 and Bob Latchford bagged a brace... Later to bag 4 for the Toffees sometime in the late 70's I think it was... I remember taking the news badly when I heard as a young pup....:(

so to say you were a qpr fan useually got roars of laughter we ghad been in the bottom divisions for so many years,we got 8000 gates when cheslsea tottenham and arsenal got 60 thousand,it was all to terryble it was still amazing going to a football match but none of us ever thought we could get out of the third division
then along came this strange but so gifted superstar he could run the length of the pitch dribbling past the whole team
and could he score yes he could he did it 44 times in one season,that won us the league cup and the title,next thing we knew he had shot us straight through the next tier and we were in the prem although we got slaughterd,we did return
but it allstarted with the greatest ever player to put on a qpr shirt the incredible rodney marsh
