  • Happy Birthday Rodney

Rodney Marsh is 69 today.Played golf with him a few times and he normally cadged a set of clubs off me or my mate, rarely brought his own,but a good golfer none the less and a lovely bloke at that. Some of his stories about him and Sir Alf Ramsay were a hoot.HB Rod.

        ol

ol rodney rodney marsh i love you more than all the stars in the sky
i take my teddy to bed with me every night his name is rodney,i dont know why
my mrs cant understyand what it is to score 44 goals in one season for the r,s
she watches coronation atreet and eastenders i love football and fast cars
thank you rodney for giving me the greatest day in my life
yes even greater then the day i married my beautifull wife
that day you were a magician on wembleys magical turf
that day you were the most powerfull man on earth
going to nil down to the baggies, didnt stop the the old bermondsey iron horse
that day they couldnt hold you,you were an unstoppable force
yopur perfofrmance that day was conversational intercourse
like classius clay, you gave that defence the old cockney rap
and they got complacecent they fell into your trap
running at there goal from fully 35 yards out, your dribbled through there defence and exploded a shot
then ron hunt collided with the goalie and lazarus put the end to the midland lot

You lucky man. All I got was a kiss on the cheek and a bowl of frosted shreddies.
