With the R's performing the way they are,we the fans are entitled to feel happy and united. Not so the bloke in front of me.You may remember me telling you some weeks ago about him telling me to " shut the f@@k up" when I was having a pop at Zamora. The problem now seems to be legroom.Like most, particularly V Block in Ellerslie Rd,I have to have my legs at 10 to 2 (I defy anyone to assume the 12 o'clock position) and as a consequence if the guy in front of you leans back he will feel your knees in his back. Most of us adopt an upright or slightly forward stance to improve your view. He's not done this before but for some reason yesterday,he kept leaning or even lurching backwards for the first 15 mins or so of the match and my knees inevitably touched his back,to the point where he turned around and shoved my right knee with both of his hands accompanied by some choice expletives.I tried to explain to him that short of me being a voluntary double amputee, there wasn't much I could do about it and in any event it was him leaning back that was the root of the problem but there was no reasoning with him.It was at this point that the young guy sitting next to him,his mate or son, joined in by saying he was 6'5" and didn't have a problem and I said that was because the guy in front of him was, like most of us,leaning forward slightly. In some ways I wish they were both members of WATRB and could read this. The second half went off quite uneventfully ( because he leaned forward slightly and was a lot less animated). Can't wait for the next episode.
