  • Rob Green for England

someone on talksport recons Rob Green should play for England in the next two games as he is in better form than Hart at the moment and his stats are better than Harts (thoughts !)
Dyslexic so please don't feel the need to correct my spelling mistakes as I really don't give a **** and before you say use spell checker if it is spelt right / wright but not in context spell check is useless

You'd have to wonder what Green's stats would be like were he up against the same calibre of opposition as Hart is.

      Yeah why not??

A keeper on top form in either of the top two leagues in England deserves a shout.

I would love to see a QPR player play for England!!

He will lose his good form once he joints England.

Not a chance in hell Rob Green will play for England again imo. Probably about 5 or 6 ahead of him in pecking order. Hart wont be dropped anyway.

prefer him to stay out of the limelight and carry on doing a great job for us
we are far more important than England

He's on better form then Hart and Butland, behind Ben Foster and on a similar level to Fraster Forster. Better then John Ruddy. There or thereabouts imo, deserves a call up at least

One mistake or poor result in an England jersey and all his recent confidence and good form would be sucked down the plug hole. No thanks.

Frazer foster is an excellent shot stopper but for such a big man he doesn't command his 6 yard box very Well and his distrabution is shocking.

Can you imagine the stick Hodgson will get if he picked a championship goalie who throughout his career has been known to make big mistakes, and say we are drawing 0-0 and in the 90th minuet Green lets one go through his legs again.

Green is playing well at the moment but I rather he is kept out the limelight and carries on doing well for us. No matter how poorly Hart is playing he wont be dropped, and if he ever does get dropped it will be when Foster is fit.

Keeper is one position where calibre of opposition doesn't really work. Still has to save loads of shots, deal with all the crosses and everything thing else and I doubt the volume is much different whatever the league. He's done everything immaculately so far this season, made some proper good saves (particularly at Yeovil) and his handling if crosses and box domination has been of the highest order.
However, I agree with the sentiment that if he made one mistake people would be straight on him and his confidence may go - so hope he doesn't get the call.
Funny thing is though, Hart is having a dip in form and confidence and all of a sudden he is not good enough for a lot of people. Just like Green had with that bobble - any keeper would have had trouble but people just love to stick the knife in. I've said for a long time, Green is good enough for England and certainly good enough for Premier league but people prefer the press view and suggest he has a mistake a game in him because he had a rough time with his confidence after "that goal"

                        Who'd be a goalie eh.

                          Absolutely pathetic statement!

With the current state of our top English keepers name me 6 keepers that are ahead of Robert Green?

The bloke has kept 7 clean sheets, and clearly the championship is not the same level but I'll tell you something Chris, that shot from 40 yards last night wouldn't of beaten Green. I agree that he won't drop Hart but he should do!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Yeah, I know what you mean, a shot on goal is a shot on goal no matter whose boot it comes off and he's still got to stop it. What I was thinking is that in this league, our defence versus the attack quality of this league is pretty solid and has given him less to do than if we were in the Prem. On that basis, I would have to think that we wouldn't have seven clean sheets and his stats would possibly not be looking as good as they are now.

It's all subjective and hypothetical, but I do agree that him not getting a call up just yet would be in his and the club's best interest at this point in time.

All true - they say a goalkeeper is only as good as the defence in front of him. On that very topic, Joe Hart has had a quality back four for the last couple of seasons, all overseen by an Italian manager. Perhaps, with the new manager their defence is not as certain or as effective so the pressure on Hart has increased and hence why he has made these mistakes? Agree that in the PL there would (or could) be more pressure on Greeno and he may end up making similar mistakes and would probs not have the 7 clean sheets and confidence galore.
