someone on talksport recons Rob Green should play for England in the next two games as he is in better form than Hart at the moment and his stats are better than Harts (thoughts !)

Can you imagine the stick Hodgson will get if he picked a championship goalie who throughout his career has been known to make big mistakes, and say we are drawing 0-0 and in the 90th minuet Green lets one go through his legs again.
Green is playing well at the moment but I rather he is kept out the limelight and carries on doing well for us. No matter how poorly Hart is playing he wont be dropped, and if he ever does get dropped it will be when Foster is fit.@chrisrobson9

However, I agree with the sentiment that if he made one mistake people would be straight on him and his confidence may go - so hope he doesn't get the call.
Funny thing is though, Hart is having a dip in form and confidence and all of a sudden he is not good enough for a lot of people. Just like Green had with that bobble - any keeper would have had trouble but people just love to stick the knife in. I've said for a long time, Green is good enough for England and certainly good enough for Premier league but people prefer the press view and suggest he has a mistake a game in him because he had a rough time with his confidence after "that goal"
Who'd be a goalie eh.#standuptocancer

With the current state of our top English keepers name me 6 keepers that are ahead of Robert Green?
The bloke has kept 7 clean sheets, and clearly the championship is not the same level but I'll tell you something Chris, that shot from 40 yards last night wouldn't of beaten Green. I agree that he won't drop Hart but he should do!I played sunday league football today.
Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.
I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.
We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

It's all subjective and hypothetical, but I do agree that him not getting a call up just yet would be in his and the club's best interest at this point in time.

What I was thinking is that in this league, our defence versus the attack quality of this league is pretty solid and has given him less to do than if we were in the Prem. On that basis, I would have to think that we wouldn't have seven clean sheets and his stats would possibly not be looking as good as they are now.
