So you're dropping O'Neil and Tom Carroll from last Saturday's 2-0 stroll in the park. Yeah, I understand the desire to tinker, but I think this game versus Barnsley is an opportunity for Tom Carroll to shine and it appears Harry is determined to play the lad anyway, whatever happens (maybe it was an unwritten agreement of his loan?). Yes, I noted Carroll's misplaced passes and the times he was hustled off the ball, but I also noted his non-stop running and eagerness to show for the ball, and some sublime touches, so on balance I'd say he deserves a starting place and if he can improve his holding ability, he's going to be fantastic for us. O'Neil was effective and tidy as ever, perhaps he doesn't shine like some of the other players, but he does his job effectively. It's good to have Hoilett as an option, but for me he's a one-trick pony - bags of pace, but no end product. I don't see how Traore deserves a starting place, but I guess you're looking to give us more width, using two out and out wingers; it's not a bad idea, but I think Harry might well start with the same 11. Hoilett for O'Neil would be my first change, if necessary.
