  • Barton & Captain

Am I right in thinking he got the captains armband when Hill went off on Saturday. I thought he did and looks like he did on tunnel cam

Hes been good as gold since returning so no objection from me if it was the case

joey craves attention and is desperate to be respected, tossing him the armband will get that extra few % out of him

dunne strikes me as the type that doesn't need anything around his bicep to motivate him more, a natural leader and driven pro

      imho

I don't care about morals 'cause the world's insane and we're all to blame anyway

Hill went to give it to dunne but he was to far away so looked the other way and gave it to joey. Three very good captains.

Get where you are coming from with Joey being a bit of a media *****. However, on the pitch I think he just reacts, sometimes wrongly, to the situation in front of him. As he has also done this in his personal life.

IMO he has definitely been a plus this season.

As for my favourite player so far would probably have to go with Dunne, though would prefer to be an attacking player. Up until Saturday we have looked solid rather than likely to rip a team apart. Hopefully Nico will be up there if he carries on performing as he did.

being an old fart I remember how tony adams was always referred to as a colossus, an absolute rock in defence with a singleminded approach to his game, dunne seems cut from a similar cloth

nico looks like a player that, if we can hold onto him, will win us games ala adel in our promo year...without the histrionics

            dare we dream?

Dunne is probably like Derry in that, as Neil Warnock says in his book, he doesn't need an armband to play a captain's role.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

In our side I don't think the arm band holds that much weight, I've seen hill and Derry playing captain without it. On a number of occasions I've seen Barton doing the same, it's a good thing we have a plethora of individuals capable of leading the side, without putting people's noses out of joint. Park and tarbs were given the arm band ffs

If you have a good committed bunch of players that passionately want to succeed as a team, there is very little need for a captain IMO.
