  • Barton regrets ruling out R's

Commented he feels a bit stupid now after he claimed he would not be playing in the champs this season and has had those words rammed down his throat, but says you have to laugh.
He's really enjoying working for Harry, and enjoying his football again. Been a lot of healing over the summer but he doesn't think we'll be fully healed until we're back in the prem.
Hopes to go back to Marseille one day.......but i'm really enjoying being at QPR more so than ever before, and everyone around the world wants to play in the prem, and so if given the opportunity and the club still want him, he has 2 years left on his deal so would be happy to stay.

Great positive words for Joey. Just hope the crowd continues to support him throughout the season through thick and thin. He'll probably have a dip at some point, all players do, BUT I firmly believe we as supporters help Joey's performances on the pitch. When the crowds on his side he shines, but when they are on his back he has the potential to fly off the handle. Firmly believe he's that type of player. Think the hostile atmosphere at Millwall might show what I mean. Hope we go there and go one up early to shut the crowd.

Just as it also applied to the way he was treated by the club and the manner in which he responded.

God only knows why anybody took any notice of Mark Hughes.
