Thanks for your help Schteve - and good luck with Derby...... but not against us.

You may still own a brolly....... But you are no longer a wally in my opinion

He was part of the fix that has us where we are this season. Excellent contribution from him and good luck to him in the future.

WOW... I don't think you understand the importance he has had in giving our players confidence again. His coaching qualities are there for all to see and his work with the team deserves so much credit.

A definite positive influence since he arrived and has changed my mind about him and his coaching abilities.

Think everyone's jumping the gun a bit here, he's in talks that's all, nothing definite yet.
Wait until he's joined Derby officially, if he does, for all the praise and thanks!

Done a good job whilst he's been here, but he hasn't done anything to warrant such gratuitous praise, particularly if he repays us by leaving for a club like Derby. Would have far more respect if he showed us some and saw out the season.

To be honest - I dont usually disagree with your posts Jonny...

However, this was a little rash and possibly bitter???

The spirit of our club and team was totally destroyed when Hughes and his team came in (The overall problem)

We had nothing, it needed a total change up. But getting rid and bringing new people in doesnt always make a huge difference.

SM has brought the old guard and new players together - He has been nothing but great for us.

Barton had great stuff to say about him on SSN... the fact is, as a Coach he is quality - Shame to lose the chap.

He's always been an excellent coach. He wasn't a bad manager at M'Boro either but obviously things didn't work with England. As usual the press overlooked all of the positives when they tagged him the wally with the brolly and of course it stuck with a lot of people.
I think we would be a poorer Club without him so I hope he stays, but frankly, he was offered a short term deal here and if he uses it as a stepping stone back into management, I don't think anyone can be bitter or critical of his decision. I just hope he sees Derby as too much of a basket case to warrant him risking his repairing reputation so we benefit and they don't.
