@Joey7Barton: Delighted for the fans. Been through some tough times recently and glad to hear them enjoying coming to Loftus Rd again. Onwards and upwards

@Joey7Barton: Very good team performance today. At times it was a pleasure to be a part of. Total football. Happy to get off the mark for the season too.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Can't fault him. Be the first to admit I had enough of him after Man City but am hugely impressed at how he has come down to the Championship, hasn't acted like a prima donna, been v calm without any dodgy incidents and been our main man this season. Don't want to talk too soon but signs he is mellowing a bit with maturity. Glad he scored too - he's been unlucky a few times this season.

I don't do Twitter, but someone should Tweet him and congratulate him on rising above the treatment Middlesboro were giving him and the Ref's shocking decisions in the 1st 30 minutes. Gave everything to Boro.
He did well v Brighton as well after getting booked - he seemed to have lost it until Hill calmed him down. Even then, I feared he'd look for revenge.

Was fully expecting him to clatter Leadbitter after his foul on JB first half - but pleased he showed his maturity and class to resist another yellow

                      I agree with Cookie Monster.

He's done exactly what's been needed of him so far this season.

I'm still a long way from liking him, but long may his current form and temperament continue.

happy with barton on and off field this season.

on field, he's playing well, contributing, not being a primadonna.

off field, i think he seems more interested in forming a bit of team spirit, looking out for other players - missed that last season.

on twitter, he doesn't seem the same fool that he was a couple of years back, picking pointless slanging matches with the cast of towie and all that. he talks about football, about things he cares about and seems less bothered in seeming "the big i am".

i hope this all continues. i didn't really want him back, but i'm glad that he is...

He doesn't get alot of protection from refs
