I'm not sure our offensive game is helped by having so many central midfielders like Faurlin who refuse to carry the ball and who play so static when they have it. Carroll and Faurlin were perfect examples of that. Both made space to receive the ball, put in runs to get it, but both always chose to immediately lay it off even if there's a chance to bring it forward before then laying it off (or passing creatively). Joey despite his lack of pace tries that. O'Neil too needs do more of it. Henry is Henry; that's never gonna be his game.

And some will #### him off, no matter how well he plays.

Not a great game thought he was poor 1st half bit better 2nd but Deffo a long way off his old self, Harry's giving him a chance together back and prove himself? He needs to take it! Or else I can see H.R getting shot of him?

I'm not anti Faurlin, but I thought he had a poor game overall. He gave the ball away far too often, but Carroll was worse, he is just a shade better than Park was, he causes more problems than solutions.

It was his thrrough ball that made one of the goals (can't remember if it was bartons or the penalty), he did misplace some passes, but i would be interested to see some stats as i reckon is pass completion was still quite high.

We looked a lot better before he came off, think he was instrumental to the passing game we were playing. Definitely not the old Ale, but there were glimpses that he could return.
