Like Carroll gave the ball away a lot first half with some short passes but grew into the game and thought he done his job well and have not seen him get that far forward so often since hes been at the club. Those minutes in his legs will have done him well today

Henry came on and shored things up in the middle

Kranjcer is gonna be the main man

Good to hear..(Kranjcar)..settled in already by the sound of it.
I like Henry on the pitch i must admit. But i do realise we can't have too many defensive mfs when its goaless

Better second half, but he far too often slows play down and rarely looks to play any positive or offensive ball. I'd have Henry in there to break up the opposition and get the other midfielders playing forward balls as well as sideways and backwards ones.

We Played Faurlin too far forward. He's best when he's deep with the game in front of him with time on the ball. Think Caroll would have had a better game further forward too. Barton was very effective in the middle and O'Neil is proving to be a quality signing. Niko is clearly a class player.

We have the best midfield in the division by a mile. Defence isn't too bad either.

I actually thought that this was faurlin's best competitive performance since tottenham and I thought that he was more suited to playing in a more advanced position like in pre season. He seemed to gain confidence from having Kranjcar next to him.

First half he wasn't great, misplaced passes and lost the ball on a few occasions. Second half was better, put in some good tackles and knocked the ball around nicely in midfield, as did all our midfielders.

This is actually a very good point and i would also panic less about Carroll costing us a goal.

Maybe. Or maybe by playing him further forward Ale's lack of pace wouldn't be as costly as if he played further back.

Reading a few posts on other QPR sites and the reviews have been pretty positive for Ale.
