  • If the table was decided on GD instead of points...

...we'd still only be in 3rd place, so our GD isn't really a concern........and Harry didnt even need to use Chevanton today...moreover it looks like we've moved into 2nd gear today with the likes of Kranjcar and BAE coming in. Still early days but the signs look good...

Yep its just not what we are used to. When we have been successful we have scored a lot but also tended to concede a fair few (looking back over three decades of support). But now we are mean at the back and simply don't need to score that many goals. I know we all tend to support Rs because we love the way over the years we have been able to ooze class and rip teams apart but lets be honest, its come with a lot of heartache of last minute equalizers against us etc. If we can shut out other teams and win by one or two goals it makes for much happier Saturday nights over the course of a season! I also think the creativity will come as Kranjcar settles and Hoilett and Phillips force themselves into the team, and all hopefully gel - you could have Pellicori as the striker but that team is still going to score some goals. And with the defence/ defensive midfield we have that is a phenomenal platform to build on.
