  • Really feel let down now by My Club

Over a month ago now I asked on here who I should contact at the Club to see if they could possibly donate anything towards a worthwhile charitable cause to give a Children's Pre-School a chance to survive.
After 4 weeks, and only 2 weeks until the event it just seems like I am being ignored.
The club do reply to me, I chase them up every week only to be told that they are working on it!!!

I ain't asking for much, I don't expect anything like a prize being donated of being Tony's Guest for a game etc (which has been given by Tony on many occasions).

I would just like something to be able to offer from My Club!!!

Would it really take much for the club to send me a Signed Ball, Shirt etc.
It's not really gonna hit them hard.

I have provided the Registered Charity Number, the date of event etc which I was asked by the club to do weeks ago and still nothing happens!!

I Have contacted the Club again tonight just to give me an answer Yes or No.
Otherwise, I will just purchase some QPR Memorabilia from my own pocket to donate.

I love my Club that I have supported for 24 years now, but really feel let down by them in this.

Could I suggest tweeting one of the players, perhaps Joey Barton or Clint Hill and asking them? I'm sure one of them will help out.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

You might want to tweet Tony (if you haven't tried already).

Try some other clubs, it doesn't just have to be the R's stuff to raise funds for charity (if you hanvt already) and other bits may raise more cash
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

To be fair to them they probably have hundreds of requests like this, and I guess they cant support everyone, but I do agree a response pne way or another is the order of the day.

Maybe someone from this site could mention it at that forum meeting.

Well tbf they are not a charity themselves and they cant help or fulfill every request. Not the same but i am approached a few times a year from all the schools in my business's area to donate something for a raffle or some other rubbish. I just pick one (a different one every year) and ignore the rest. Like said above try some other clubs and you may get lucky.

I think the club are busy, we're also waiting to hear from them. We're not looking for a donation but wont to purchase something for our site members.

If it helps this site will donate £10, just PM me what you would like from the club superstore and you'll get it within the week..

Well done and best of luck with the charity.

The club do get a lot of requests, however a failure to give an answer is very poor. Who are you contacting and talking to at the club, it sounds like you are getting a response but not an answer, is this by email or by phone?

Have you contacted Andy Rees the customer services officer, Becky Grote the marketing director, Francis Atkinson the retail and merchandise manager
Check out the staff directory on the web site and email the people who are most likely to be able to help.

This is just a repeated thread of one you started a few weeks ago on the same subject complaining about the club!
Patience was all that was needed!
