How did Kranjcar play?

Looked overweight and off the pace. Everyone, bar the back four, Green, Austin who made the penalty, and Jenas first half were poor. Everyone, bar Traore, put in a shift, but we played like a bunch of crabs. Everything went sideways. Phillips was poor. Carroll hardworking but too, too deep.

All of the successful teams are built on solid defence. The games I saw against Brighton and Birmingham were pretty similar - unbreachable back line, not much going on up front. Have patience - we've enough class in the choice for front 6, that Harry will eventually find the right combination and we'll start attacking as well as we defend.....on the assumption that is, that we get a forward in on loan soon.

Damn straight. But it weren't average today. I can't see that a striker, while necessary, is sufficient. We create little if anything from midfield in open play. And, bar AJ we haven't all season.

Created nothing second half. Never won a corner. Their goalie was a spectator. We were total and utter sh1t. But we remain unbeaten. Won three points. And go three points clear. Eight goals in eight games.... I'm happy. But I'm also not as happy as I should be...
