Austin needs a partner to play with someone big and strong beside him to flick it on and allow him to get on the end of it.

His all round game is great but I think its abundantly clear after yesterdays game that he his is playing without confidence when it comes in front of goal. Yes the guy got his goal on Saturday but there were two incidents last night which made me think lacking confidence in himself. There was obviously the miss first half which thankfully was offside which he put wide of the post, offside or not offside he should be slamming that in the back of the net, then second half 5mins left he's running through at goal big hole in front of him at the edge of the box to blaze the ball and have a shot and he stopped turned and gave the ball sideways at Burnley he would have taken the shot on. He needs a confidence boost hopefully it comes on Saturday

We create so little because at the current time to go forwards we have to go back to the halfway line. Austin is actually better then I realised at holding the ball up and hes doing a great job but once he gives it to the midfield and gets in the box the midfielder instead of driving forwards has given the ball back to the full or centre backs then we start all over again.

For me the key to our season will be how quick we can get Hoillett back and if we can keep him fit as he is the out ball in our team currently hes the one that gets on it drives forward and commits players, SWP had a go at it last night and done well enough but for me SWP gets to the last man and like the rest turns back instead of doing him like Hoillett would

    Very frustrating

In a nut shell perfectly. We won't ship many goals, and all great sides build from the back so it's a very promising sign. Add a decent loan striker, get Phillips some more game time, get Niko fit and playing, Hoilett back and we will soon have a lot more going forward. I really don't think we've gotten out of 2nd gear yet this season and we've found ourselves top of the league with only 2 goals conceeded and moralein the camp seemingly at an all time high. Good times down at the Rangers at the moment if you ask me. Long may it continue.

Our creativity will improve when we've got a full squad to pick from. Hoilett is injured, Kranjcar to come, Phillips on his way back from injury, Carroll new to the squad.

Get these guys fit and available for selection and we will play much better.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Always sort the defence 1st seems to be the rule of thumb when building a winning team. Harry has done that. It's easier to add attacking options imo because they are normally told to go and express yourself, whereas defenders need to be regimented and organised which takes longer to do. So lets not panic we are top without tearing up any trees, HR kows and wants attackers, things will get more offensive...(bit like this forum!!)

first home game last night, general consensus was Brighton were an improvement on Wednesday, Ipswich and Brum. Leaves me with the conclusion this division is rank poor. Personally think we need a bit more upfront, but happy with what Harry has achieved thus far
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

my concern is we hav'nt played any of the top 8 teams immidiately underneath us, who all seem to know where the net is.
our defence looks sound, but has it been really tested yet.
what we need to start our avalanche of goals for the rest of the season is to give someone a good tonking.
with kranjcar, hoillet and phillips starting against yeovil.....well say no more......fingers crossed.

a couple sheff wed fans were saying first game that they reckon well win it as theres no stand out team in the division. other than cardiff there was no one else who could run away with them. hull scored less goals the bristol city and they finished bottom!
i supported qpr in the glory days when chris kiwomya and michael ngonge played up front

Other teams are very inconsistent though. eg Wigan banged in 4 first game, then lost at Bournemouth the next. Watford hit 6 then didnt win for the next 4 games. Our defense will see us through the first parts of the season when the team is still "gelling". I reckon when we eventually hammer a team, thats when things click into place and thats when we really get going.

We're generally playing badly, yet we're still top with 5 cleansheets. Amazing really
