  • Which defender will Harry drop?

Redknapp: ''Benoit, for me, is one of the best left backs in the Premier League, so I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring him here.

''I really think he’s top class. He played for me every week at Tottenham and never let me down once.''

Judging by these comments, I think it's obvious that Ekotto is close to being a regular starter for us so it begs the question, which defender will have to make way?

I think it's safe to say that Simpson is guaranteed to start every game so either Hill, Dunne or Onuoha will have to settle for a place on the bench.

As much as I like Hill, I think Dunne and Onouha have struck up a solid partnership in the centre of defense so there is no reason why they shouldn't continue to be regular starters.

I think Harry will end up dropping Hill, and Dunne or Barton will be handed the captain's armband. What do you lot think?

    Hill dropped (regretfully).

Hill dropped, Dunne or Ned captain. Leave Joey to concentrate on his game.

Didn't Joey say after the Man City incident that the thing that hurt him most was the loss of the captaincy? I think he'd love the armband again.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Agreed. Alhough I think Joey looks like the natural leader of this team, Dunne would be the sensible bet. He's experienced and I can imagine that he's already commanded the respect of the dressing room. I think the less pressure on Joey the better for him and for us

He may do but he let his game go when he was captain as he was trying to organise to much, he should be left to concentrate on his game and put in good performances

If Ned is made captain I hope it doesn't affect his performances. Personally, I'd go for Joey.

As for the question of who to drop, I'd be reluctant to break up the successful Ned/ Dunne partnership.

Wouldn't that be a slow partnership? Ned isn't only strong but he has the legs to keep up with quick strikers. He also hardly makes mistakes and is good in the air

Slow? I'd go as far as to say Clint is quicker than Dunne. Dunne runs like he has concrete boots on.

Think Clint is faster than Dunne.... By Chief I mean Ned to play with Clint. Think Onouha and Simpson are first on the team sheet at present

                            Chief is Ned's nickname

I'm not comparing Clint's pace with Dunne's. I'm saying Ned is our quickest centre-back and I think having a centre-back with a bit of pace is important
