I thought both looked poor especially Phillips.

Carrol sloppy passing in the first half but lots of running and invisible in the second half. I'd drop him for Karl Henry next match.

Phillips looks pony based on first impressions, has a bad touch and bottled every pass, tackle and run.

Carrol not meaning to be mean young lad first game etc but I hope he gets better, not many decent passes kept taking ball off back 4 and messing about with it. Made a good tackle 2nd half when they broke
Philips glimpses of pace obv not played much recently so still hoping, did ok. Couple times chose wrong option but rusty.

Better second half for Carroll then first but you can see there is potential there. I thought Phillips done well when he came on very direct and in my view we improved with both him and SWP considerably.

What did stand out was that he looked lightweight in the middle without Henry interesting to hear what his knockers thought about how we played without him

Can't play 442 without a Henry. Suspect we'll be playing only one up from here on in.

We missed Henry today from what i can gather from comms.....him and Joey might not be flair players but you need them in for the battle. Most teams we come up against are going to battle us and we need them boys

First impressions can be misleading......don't you know that saying? As said, give the lad a chance before mouthing off with your first impressions.
