We so often make excuses for players , Phillips today dare I say it had the demeanour of Boswinga

As for Carroll based on today's performance I think a stint on the bench is required
That post is not happy clappy enough .... 2 points infraction for being realistic

I think we should have caroll publically executed as he is obviously not good enough to play for the mighty r's. I do wonder sometimes about our supporters. God knows what they expect. If 16 out of a possible 18 points is not enough then i dont know what is?

Its a criticism about a performance..its not a judgement on some players career ffs.

Some very harsh comments on here IMO. W12 just responded to the OPs question with his opinion and got slated for it, even though most others agree with him it seems. Some people need to try and understand the difference between giving an honest response to a question and just posting negative b0ll0cks for the sake of it.
I wasn't impressed with either of them myself but won't be calling for them to be transfer listed just yet.

Vblock, not wishing to argue the point mate but i just think we should give someone like caroll a chance to get usd to the pace of the championship before we judge how good he is.

Fair enough but W12's opinion was based on todays performance and tbh i have heard from a few people that he was very poor today...

I was there and majority that were at the game will say carroll was extremely poor and caused us some desperate defending but at times so did Barton dwellling on the ball. Ok w12 was just answering a question regarding our new signings but poor and pathetic could also be said about the rest of the team minus the defence and green. Phillips is a quality player w12 so you'll have to take my word on that
Bit of credit for swp made a difference today. Not normally a fan but did well at times today
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Phillips jury out on him? Carroll looked very lightweight knocked of the ball far to easily, so much so that Barton had to make tackles and cover where he shouldn't had to, and Joey played very well along with Dunne and the chief

Missed Henry today. Carroll wasn't up to much.

All too often in this country, one dodgy performance and the knives are out. It seems clubs these days want ready made players rather than blood them. It's no wonder there's so few English players around these days when foreigners can be bought off the peg.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Barton got caught on the ball three times which led to their counter attacks still had decent enough game though. Think Carrolls problem was the pace of the game he was playing one pace and the everyone around him another. Once he gets his head around that and starts thinking quicker on the ball we will see a different player needs time to adapt

Anyway w12 was right 2 very poor performances from the new signings but phillips was clearly just rusty and I have seen enough of the guy at blackpool to dismiss any of w12 concerns. Carrol however worries me. Having the frame of a mascot in this league concerns me and he will only be effective in a 5 man midfield. Like any young lad he was keen but tried to hard and needs some sessions in the gym.
Re Carroll, that will be a similar frame to Modric, Inesta, Messi, Xavier, Cazola and the like, yea they would all struggle in the Championship

Saw enough of Caroll and Phillips to see only a mug would say they were poo they weren't good but anybody with the slightest football nouse would be able to see they are and will be players , for me H got the team wrong today we should have been 4-3-3 m/f Barton Caroll and Faulin ,Caroll 1st Championship game struggled with pace and physicality of the Championship and needed stronger players each side of him as regards to Phillips what sort of mug couldn't see a front 3 Hoilet (not my favourite player) Austin and Phillips not cruising this league .
But I am very happy to have got 3 points the ugly way

But Carroll isn't a world class footballer so its a valid point

Not yet and may never be, but his frame is not a factor in that or his ability to perform at this level. Seems many on here have the English mentality re players must be big and strong, seems the rest of the world see it differently!
