“Tom reminds me of Michael Carrick, and I signed him (Carroll) when he was 15 and he plays like Michael. Tom sees everything. He never gives the ball away. He never gets caught with it and he’s a fantastic passer. He keeps passing the ball to someone in his own team. He keeps passing to someone with the same shirt as him. And in training here at QPR he blew everyone’s brains out. Bang, bang, bang went the passes; he’s got such quick feet.”

If you don't like all the horrible nasty comments maybe you should log off before you get too upset, put xfactor and sip a nice glass of pinot grigio

I suppose some disappointment at 5 wins and a draw after 6 games is a sign of just how far the club has come in a few months.
My view would be that it is easy to underestimate what Henry+Barton deliver when paired in the middle - them two are like a brick wall that means the team is always 50/50 in CM at worst, which a vital part of the game. Also I still think Carroll should be at #10 or on the flank to give him time to settle to the team/championship.
Anyway 27 players in/out and joint top of the table - plenty to do but could be a lot worse.

The midfield was terrible today
