Why are some fans so obsessed with building a nice new big shiny stadium?

I think that we should buy and knock down the BBC media city, build a new gaff, call it the White City stadium, have a big track around the pitch for things like speedway, dog racing and the odd Olympic event or games. We could even hold concerts for groups like the rolling stones and charge the people who go to see the old farts loads of dosh.My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

I'm still on the fence regarding a new stadium, I love LR. Simple fact is it will have to happen eventually as LR for all its charm will end up being inadaquate for a club of our ambition.

Staying at Loftus Road will not help QPR progresss as a club and that is obvious to most people.
I will also ask this question, why is it that QPR fail to sell out most weeks?
Is it because the away fans fail to buy up all the tickets allocated to them, or is it because at this old ground, there must be at least 200 (maybe more) seats where when sitting down fans cannot see one of the goals clearly, thereby missing some of the most vitral moments of watching a game. That must be like watching a movie at the cinema (or at home) with a bit of furniture blocking the screen, and being asked to pay £20,30 or 40 for the privilege.
As for the other seats, I am not tall, yet am fed up sitting in those seats with my knees touching the back of the seat in front, even worse when the person in that seat leans back! I ont even want to think what it is like for those taller than me.
Then there are the width of these seats, what is it like for those people fatter than me.
These 3 factors could be some of the reasons for not selling out every game. We might be willing to put up wity these for some of the games, but certainly not 19 or 23.
Maybe 1000s of would be attendees are just to picky or used to more comfort than is on offer at Loftus Road which is why we want a bigger and more comfortable stadium with better facilities.
