Quite right too, and shouldn't be dropped even if he makes a ricket keep him as no 1. Maybe if JC wants to play he could negotiate ending his contract, free agents can still sign for prem clubs if they have room in the 25

Good. Would damage a lot of the spirit built up if Cesar was to waltz straight back into the team.

It's quite an unbelievable situation for us when you think about it.

Win win if you ask me. It keeps Rob on his toes, and not a bad back-up keeper if needed!

Good news as it would ruin all the hard work we've done to get our dressing room spirit back to normal.

I'd keep Murphy on the bench too. Cesar had his opportunity to move but has shown how much picking up his wage means to him. Let him rot.

Rob Green remembers the precise moment when his world turned upside down at Queens Park Rangers, as news of Julio Cesar's arrival flickered across his TV screen.

I know this is an old article, but I missed it first time around. I get the impression that Green wasn't Hughes' choice. I admire Green for sticking at it and do not feel he should be anything other than our number 1 goalkeeper. There are also several articles where Harry spoke highly of Green, even before he came to the club.

Win win? Not for me. Paying massive wages and having Cesar behind him probably puts pressure on Green in a bad way.

w12ranger come under some stick from posters less knowledgeable and more PC on this message board but he was totally correct, keep the english players and unity together. Barton Austin Johnson Onhua Dunne Hill Simpson etc etc will all want a player that has backed the club and they can relate to. We should not underestimate the importance of this. Green should be our no1 keeper and yes if he show shocking form then remind him his place isn't guaranteed but he has does enough to be our no 1 and the team spirit is no1. Clint hills interview summed up what w12 was getting at and I am disgusted them some people on this board question the guys morals. Never used to like him so not blinkered in any way but talks sense.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                    Of course.

Playing a keeper from the evil Asian country of Brazil would RUIN EVERYTHING.

                    What about this team?

                    Rowan Vine - Himmler

I don't think the wages comes into the equation really. He may still leave in the loan window, if not in January, and as stated before the salaries and wage structures are the concern and job of the owners and directors to balance the books and should not affect the team spirit.

As for putting negative pressure on Green, I disagree. They both get on well together off the pitch and should be a positive influence on each other. Competition for places is always necessary and healthy too.
