  • Press conference - BAE, Kranjcar, Phillips and AJ unlikely to start

    The Break -
Overall very happy with the squad and the way the team has come together.. Delighted with the way its gone so far. Getting to the window with the start we had was superb.
Signings - VERY GOOD and VERY HAPPY
    1. All big players
    2. Delighted with Tom, Matty and Niko

    - We was in good form, shame to not continue you it.
    - But delighted with the players we brought in.
    - BAE - Not fully fit and maybe not match ready
    - Phillips is fit now - But hasn't had a game so again might be tricky
    - Niko is two weeks short

(They need to get to the fitness of the rest of the squad)

    Birmingham
    - Clarke has done a great job in difficult situation
    - Tough game like any

    Brighton
    - Same again but a chance of two good home wins!

    Adebayor
    - That would be a great loan..
    - Not sure what will happen with him
    - Its up to Spurs
    - Can only come on loan to the Champ
    - But that would be difficult.

    *Never denied interest though

    England
    - Great result
    - Tough place
    - We want to get to Brazil and that result keeps in good shape to get their
    - Not the best looking game but it was a great result etc.
    - Frank; Great achievement and had no doubt about it. (He put in so much effort and worked hard)

BAE, Kransjar, Phillips and AJ unlikely to play tomorrow.

According to Harry. Haven't got enough game time and aren't where they need to be.

I know Dazzas itk man said it was Crouch we missed out on last minute, on transfer deadline day, but I truly think it was adebayor and always did. Can realy see that happening once he realizes he won't ever feature for spurs. We look good and he will be given assurances of a deal if he helps get us up with goals. Not itk like others here, just using my head.

Thanks very much for posting. Interesting about Adebayor. Could be nothing, but we thought the same about BAE when he was mentioned briefly in a previous presser

Not really a surprise though I do think Phillips will come off the bench, hope they all feature soon though
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

At the end of the day there is no point rushing players.

Phillips, BAE and Niko will probably make the bench at least.

Phillips has a chance of starting but Its unlikely..

Yep. I think that Barton is much more effective on the right - even without Carroll in the mix. When he's in the middle he tends to get his "Hollywood Ball" head on.... which often doesn't come off and can be rather frustrating.......

Yer agree... would have been harsh dropping players to fit them in anyhow tbh.

Going to be even harder to fit them in if we win the next two home games on the trot. Blinding problem though.

I think you dropped players as and when its required.

IF SWP has a bad game then its natural to bring Matty in...

IF someone is injured its a straight swap..

I cant see Harry dropping many from the team that won at Leeds personally.. At most Matty P might get a good run out or start.

Mind games. I expect at least 1 to start and at least 1 other to come off bench

Going to have to have a rethink, looks pretty certain aj is out. Not Zamora, please no.
