he has scored for the first team, the EDS game against Brighton the other day and now against a strong Watford team, he appears to be an " in the right place at the right time" type of striker, I just feel that with our shortage of front men, he should get a bit of a run out.Kept the faith!

I think he should come off the bench for the last 30 minutes though, he's better then Zamora so our third choice striker
Have you watched any of our matches, although Austin hasn't scored his played very well and as been involved in most of our goals.

Deserves some minutes from the bench I think, not ZamoraUnder Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
And many more mistakes
LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Hold your horses lads. He's scored 4 goals for our u21's, not 40. We are currently 2nd in the table, there is no need to put undue pressure on the lad. By all means, put him on the bench, but barring an injury crisis, I dont see him anywhere near the first XI yet. Especially if we sign a striker in Jan.

I could handle that kind of return but also means the fans mustn't get on his back if he takes a few games to get into his stride and our players learn how to use his skills in the best way. They've not been used to having someone like him up front!Last edited by padstow; 17-09-2013, 04:26 AM.
