I think from reading article Deepcut that they seriously saw a merger/relocation as the solution to the problems at the time as if you include Wimbledon and MK to what you say about Reading that's three separate occasions they have looked at a rebrand of the club as the potential answer

There is also talk in that article of Brentford buying Loftus Road off us!!!!!!! we really were up s hit creak without a paddle and in a desperate situation and from reading that we were willing to make desperate decisions the ABC loan and sale of Training Ground for peanuts are examples of that

Thank goodness we went into administration instead of taking that option. That would have killed the club completely rather than saving it.

Wright was out of his depth, and it nearly cost us our club.

That someone can view relegation, and the players attitude ffs, in anywhere near the same terms is bizarre.

The more you talk the more you come across as not being a Rangers fan I think many have sussed you out now
        Dude, you are totally wrong.

No matter what happened before, no matter how much we were struggling, the club still had a feeling of unity and belongingness - if you're telling me it felt the same way last season, you're more wrong than I imagined.

Clueless appears to be your only retort!! you use it in every thread with anyone who disagrees with you; you need to consider broadening your vocabulary

You have totally missed the point as to what you initially said earlier when you suggested relegation last season was on a par with the club going under

With regards your point of belongingness and unity I think your correct in saying (speaking for myself I certainly cannot speak for others) that there has been a parting between the club and myself but for me that was not because of last season the parting happened for me when Flabby and Kneehigh arrived and referred to us as £20 customers, raised the prices, showed contempt for the fans, changed the badge, refused us a promotion party and classed us as a boutique. For me that divide has closed considerably and personally I am content with how the club is now.

If the examples above never resulted in you feeling differently towards the club and rather last seasons relegation done that for you I can only assume you were not in the Bush during this period and you my friend are the clueless one

You happy with your new owner down the cottage??

Owners off the top of my head since Wright were Bill Power, Paladini, Flabby & Knee High and now TF (have I missed any??) and only BP and TF have I felt had any genuine affection for the club.

Scandals in that time were Training Ground being sold under us and getting next to nothing for it, Dodgy ABC Loan, Guns in the Board Room, Tear up with Chinese National Side, Mergers, Faurlingate (Again have I missed anything???) and huge turnover of managers

We had two promotions during that period so even in the bleak times there was some joy

I think we have however reached the bottom of the decline and are firmly on the climb now under TF and Amit etc

Don't even bother replying to him fella. Reminds me of a leech, in that the more people reply to him the longer he'll stay around. The guys totally demented. You can't even compare last season to what's gone on in the last 20 odd years. Pathetic. He ain't a Rangers fan trust me. He's a troll!

This was more than a desperate situation. My neighbour was the guy running the club when in administration from BDO. They had tried desperately to find a buyer but there was literally no interest and ABC was the only option as otherwise we were days from actually folding so no matter how bad a deal it may sound there was no other choice.

Scary to even contemplate that we were that close to not existing.

Look at what we would have missed out on good and bad if that had happened (Play off final, Hillsborough, Watford Promotion Day, Infamous last day at Man City plus whatever the future holds for us)

Chelsea if the stories are to be believed were literally hours from being pulled before Roman stepped in and in TF & Amit think we have decent custodians of the club so here's hoping after two years of struggling a bright future is ahead

David Bulstrode could've been a fantastic owner
He was in favour of mergers etc initially with Marler Estates but he saw sense after actually listening to fans

Massive chap. Would have made a rock star proud that death. All that was missing was some vomit.

This is the thing. I don't think some people remember how bad things were back then or were too young, but still continue to slate the current owners.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

This wont mean anything to the younger supporters but for me the decline of the club was when Richard Thompson was chairman. We did have a couple of good seasons with him but you knew it was only a matter of time before the rug was pulled from our feet. He treated us like a money maker for himself. We was top london club, then thats when you knew we was in danger, sold Darren Peacock and Les Ferdinand. Treated Gerry Francis like an idiot. Then when he made his money, he sold us the Chris Wright who shouldn't of got past the interview stage because he knew Wright didn't know what he was doing. But Thompson done his damage, made his money and sodded off!!!!

You don't understand, no matter how bad things were, the players were still on the side of the fans. So even though there were things happening in the boardroom that were terrible, when Saturday came and the team went out, you felt 100% behind the players.

Last season it was different, the club just lost it's atmosphere, you probably don't understand, that's ok, different people have different feelings.

As for Shahid Khan, well, he's not me new owner, but I think he's a character and we need more like him in the game.

Suppose what I am getting at is even with the players attitudes, the relegation, however bad last season was we still had a QPR we still had a team to support (granted some rightly will have felt disengaged from the club) but we still had the club and for however bleak it was last year the potential is there for it to be at the opposite end of the spectrum this season. Had we gone under be that shut down or a merger as the article suggests were genuine possibilities we would have been no more
I agree. last season was a disaster on the pitch, but under Chris Wright, it was a disaster on and off the pitch. Selling the training round for a pittance & abolishing the very successful youth system the club had, almost destroyed the club. Administration and relegation was the result of that followed by the almost disastrous ABC loan.
