If it's not broke, why fix it?

Hence why Green is a better choice and should play.

Green also is number 1 on merit. 3 cleans sheets and showing good form. Cesar wants to be number 1 he has to earn it. Or wait the possible Green clanger!

Don't agree with all the Cesar bashing. He wants to leave to be number 1 for a World Cup in his home country. Nothing wrong with that. As has been explained Harry thinks he is a top keeper and a top pro. Not a moments bother and him and Green train very well together which can only be beneficial surely?
      Good post.

I think commanding the box is a big part of championship football and Green does that while Cesar prefers his line - the Villa equaliser is an example of how that is a problem.

Green has to be in front of Cesar as he has earnt his place. For me, Cesar has to prove he is the number one this season. Competition for the spot is only going to benefit us.

I noticed Green was in more winning teams for us than Cesar last season. Wonder what the stats are head-to-head on goals against, etc

Green is a leader, strong, solid, collect crosses & punches/pushes the ball far with a strong hand. That is what English goal keepers need to be successful here & win games
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

my view is green is as good a keeper as cesar....also don't change a keeper whos doing well..cesar works for his place now....
there is a debate to be had but preferring green over cesar is certainly not mental

Why is the number 1 Brazilian International Goalkeeper treated this way?

Is there any of you who feel the same way?

                If so, I am glad.

If you don't quite agree with the idea of Cesar starting plz tell me the reasons.
Name me 3 great Brazilian goalkeepers, bet you can't?

Cesar said he is happy to be with us. The only reason for trying to leave prob was bcos of the worldcup concern for his home team.

So his devotion and loyalty we can never know unless we are with him to talk directly.

However, thanks for letting me know some sound points of green being good and more suited to english style of football.

And i also agree green has better communication with back four for the obvious reason we all know

I know some good goalies from brazil though they arent top in the past or now.

But still just by purely testing out talent of the both, it is obvious cesar is much better.

But i agree that green could be of better choice in english league becos cesar seems to neglect the pacy and fierce football style of english footballers and keep punching away easy balls rather than grabbing them.

I agree on that because it really does make sense.

If you are judging how useful green is compared to cesar in ENGLISH LEAGUE, it seems spot on and very sound no question at all.

But i just dont understand people slating down cesar saying he is no good(not for us but as a player).
Cesar is definitely more talented and gifted keeper than green imo though not suited in england

Depends what makes someone great? winning things? In my life time these 3 have been Brazils best keepers and played for top club teams.

Taffarel has won everything except a champions league.

Cesar has won everything except a World Cup.

Dida has won everything there is to win.

Like he did with the Swansea corners on the opening day last season and the way he dealt with Fortune against WBA. Good sound solid & strong decisive goalkeeping!

I am not sure we can base either goalkeepers on last season, since the defence didn't really do much to help out.

True, I was just highlighting some of Green's errors given that some fans on here want to slate Cesar so much.

The defending last season was largely comical and non existent.
