On championship awards ... Went to Paul ince and James Vaughan, Huddersfield striker...

Harry Hill missing out on yet another award!!! Whats going on?
My old man was the star player for HMP Parkhurst during their successful and unbeaten 77/78 season.

Yeah, I am sure no one will lose any sleep over missing out of Manager of the Month, etc, as the curse will strike!

That said, not sure how they came up with this decision when Blackpool have played 2 home games and 3 away, whilst QPR, 2 home and 3 away.

Agreed both clubs have had some difficult opponents in that sequence of results but to me Rangers 13 points was slightly more difficult to have been achieved.
So I put it down to Blackpools +1 goal difference.

I am predicting 10 out of 12points in our next 4 games in September so hopefully someone down the league might beat Harry to the dreaded MotM award for that month!

I can see why and thats probably correct, Ince's team top of the league & vaughan 8 goals so far, he looked quite descent against us,
any we'd have the dreaded M.O.M curse on us

Blackpool are playing with a lot of injuries and a much less expensive side and did well this month. Given these circumstances I think it was deserved. Also it is unlikely that Blackpool will stay top of the division.

Sorry Sammy, I am trying to suggest QPR playing more away games than Blackpool in August makes our 13 points a little more difficult to come by.

Agreed it was a 50/50 split between us and Blackpool and I am not particularily bothered that it was Blackpool.

Vaughan deserves the award - good return so far in an average team

                    Both winners are deserved.

Ince is working a minor miracle given he has a depleted squad that and Vaughan's has scored more goals than the whole QPR team.
