  • A few questions about Loftus Rd

Where would Loftus Road stand if there was a league table of championship stadiums?

As it stands today would the ground meet Briatore projects goals?

Will we the supporters still be happy with Loftus Road in 6 or 7 years time if substantial redevelopment of the stadium hasn't taken place?

We all know it isn't cheap to watch the Ranger's at Loftus Rd, and many believe the place is becoming "unique" as a football ground and wouldn't change it for the world, others may think it's well past it's sell by date and needs a lot more than a lick of paint and expensive lighting in the reception.

what do you think?, your considered opinions please.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

at this moment in time loftus road meets our needs. we wouldn't fill a higher capacity ground. the ground has been modernised a bit in the last couple of seasons so i believe the facilities are adequate. it would probably be near the bottom in a championship leauge table. i couldn't care less whether it fits briatores "project"

needs huge modernising, but i love the feel about the place and general location so would rather stay put and extend than move to a bowl.

if youve a family of four why build a ten bedroomed house????...we cant even fill 18000 seats without 3500 visiting fans so even when taking into consideration the 'fairweather premiership fans:shame:' that would jump on the bandwagon i only ever see us needing at capacity of say 26000-28000 max!........fulham have done the resconstruction of cc brilliantly imho without breaking the bank so to speak..........look at clubs who built the souless identikit new arenas and im sorry i dont ever want to see us in one of those on the a40 somewhere!!.......surely some architect can come up with the solution of 'revamping' lr for the 'premiership'...(rolls eyes)..........but my fear is this............flabbio would rather 18000 in lr as it is paying ' boutique' prices ala as monaco in france than 26000' gor blimey guv'nors'!!!!!!!!
        you know nothing john snow!!!!

Something needs to be sorted out, as regarding LR its been left in the 20th century.

In those days people were only 5ft tall......

I guess only Peterborough, Blackpool and S****horpe have smaller capacities than us, so Loftus Road will seriously hinder our capacity to grow as a football club if we can't redevelop. Prices are too expensive to fill even our current ground. It seems almost counter intuitive but with a bigger stadium we could afford to drop the prizes to the average for the division and we'd soon see our attendances soar.

Would have Loftus Road over the new type of the edge of town, atmosphereless, no train station for miles type of bowl.

Think the support will dwindle the longer we stay at LR.

Atmosphere on it's day is fantastic and I love the fact that you are so close to the pitch.

Loftus Road is fine in years to come if we do get promoted and get established in the PL then we should start thinking about a new ground.

Anyone that thinks HQ needs a lick of painted is deluded the ground has had some fantastic changes since Briatore and co got involved the big screen isand the executive boxes rival some PL clubs.

Lets face it, only absolute QPR fanatics with a few bob to spare (who can afford the prices) and prepaired to put up with childrens seats will come and watch QPR....the stadium is a joke in 2009.

Only Peterborough (15,314) and Doncaster (15,231) have smaller capacities then we do (19,148), Watford is then next (19,920) and then Swansea (20,592).
