  • Austin pleads with QPR fans to lay off Zamora

Charlie Austin has pleaded with QPR fans to lay off fellow striker Bobby Zamora.

The former England international has come in for a fair bit of stick from those in Hoops, and the newest member of the forward line is mystified.

Whilst he isnt playing well fans do need to give the guy a break. Not long ago people was gutted he couldnt play more than 1 half.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

Ditto to the numpties who boo SWP and get on Green's back at games - embarrassing and not true supporters IMO.

That's 2 players that have mentioned it now, so it's obviously taking its toll. Just let the boy play.

Good to hear what Charlie said there. imo if the flops signed last summer had the effort and attitude of Zamora they would have won a lot more than 4 games, they might have even resembled a football team.

If his body language showed he cared then fans might back off but it's plain to us he ain't putting in the effort

Austin should be quite and start scoring goals tbh

Hope folk lay off Bobby, but from where I've been sitting its been pretty mild stuff meted out to him tbf. More exasperation more than anything. His form"'s been very, very poor, however.

But we cannot lay him off, only Harry can.
Banning people is no longer my hobby,

How much of his form is down to his injury and Harry's lack of options up front until recently?

People have a right to boo players if they're not satisfied with their performance or commitment. If you can't take the boo-ing, maybe you need to find another career.

Good point mate . I just feel that every time I watch bobby the body language and application just isn't there . Not that I'm someone who publically vents their frustration towards a player as a rule . Booing players from the off is no good to anyone but I can understand people getting frustrated with him as I actually feel he's better than his efforts suggest

Yeah because it really helps them.

This type of targeting is bad for morale; the other players figure who's next and keeps the focus off results. Nobody improves from barracking, the opposite in fact. Wish people would focus on support.
