  • Next Five Games

Massive run of games coming up - This really will set us up for the season.

Such a good start but we now need to continue this a little longer. Staying unbeaten would be lovely of course but that is unlikely as the league is really hard.

Winning at home is a must, drawing away is also needed and wins are bonus points in my opinion.

However, this next set of games are all Winnable, especially after the results we just had.

I can see us getting at least 11 points from this run..

    QPR V Birmingham

    QPR V Brighton

    Yeovil V QPR

    QPR V Middlesbrough

    QPR V Barnsley

    Thoughts?

    Can we win all five?

You need on average two points a game. So one win follow by a draw would be great

Yes we can. Will we? I doubt it. 3 wins, 1 loss and 1 draw wouldn't be a travesty. Anything more than this and its happy days with 20% of the season gone.

Lets be honest we havent really started playing well yet this season, certainly not to the level we should be with the players we have. We have ground out some results and had a fantastic start but the players will need to show a lot more if we are to live up to the bookies predictions. I am hopeful but not certain and i think that sums up being a rangers fan :-)

I think we are due a big win, especially when we have Hoilett and Phillips both fit and firing...

                Having said that...

The movement for the goals against Ipswich and Bolton was a joy to watch for me...

That sort of football is the going to be the difference in close encounters..

I just hope we can keep this up - But with a strong and big squad like ours we should...

So far this season the team has been mostly solid, resolute, determined, and played with a good attitude. Which I hope will continue, especially after last season, don't want to throw away all that good work. But I think a few of the shackles might come off in the weeks ahead allowing the current XI to play with a little more freedom.
Also the TDD signings will help with that. Looking forward to seeing the team become a bit more fluid and open up a little more now some of the building blocks have been put in place. Might not happen overnight, and in the championship you always got to be solid and 100% up for it, but I am looking forward to seeing it. Good times.

Don't we have Wigan Away midweek between M'bob & Barnsley ?
                    Might alter your points prediction.....

I think we'll get more than 9 points but with Rich on this one.

V is right about we not gone in 4th gear yet, we do have quite a few new players in the squad, they need a few more games to gel, it's the understanding of your fellow players.

Once we get going, there will be no stopping us.

I've got the same feeling, they haven't won yet and it is just our luck we'll lose this one.

Reminds me of when we went to Oxford Utd back in Jim Smith's days , we were top of the old Division one after a great win v Charlton/Palarse (cant remember which, although we won one nil care of Cooney) at Selhurst Park. Oxford played us off the park and we lost one nil in the pis* ing rain!
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

They won at Millwall opening day of the Season, so don't worry we won't be there first win

Indeed Beeb does say 4 of next 5 at Home.

I went with Fixture book that came with my S/T which suggests Wigan Away in between. Just looked again for the date and it says......TBC ! So I guess they must be playing some silly Europa Cup game instead ?

My apologies for doubting you 4life

As an aside, anyone else growing to hate International break weekends ?
I just wanna see QPR playing with our new signings ASAP.

Probably be different if we were struggling at the bottom like last season.....
