  • Was anyone worried yesterday?

That we wasn't gonna get anyone?
It did seem like it for a while, I wonder what the big hold up was with getting the Spurs lads.

It was strange as Harry loves Transfer Window Day, but seemed to keep himself hidden away all day.
I never thought we would sign BAE as I thought that was just a name being linked as we needed a LB and because of Harry's connections.
It was great though when we all thought Nico hadn't been signed in time and was then announced!!!

I was more worried that we would lose players like Joey and Hoilett.

I think and tony said all transfers will be done low key for obvious reasons. tell you what though, harry is well loved, respected and connected in the game.
          which is handy.

when they said PB was leaving Harlington for LR, there was 20 mins to go.....im amazed they got there. did NK fly in from Russia and go to Harlington?

Never thought Joey would go yesterday.
But was thinking if Hoillett would be part of a possible deal for Crouch.

I read somewhere that Nico travelled in by Eurostar.

"Towards the end of the season, however, chairman Tony Fernandes identified the loss of Barton as a factor in the club's poor performance and relegation from the Premier League, saying "We missed Joey. We needed a workhorse midfielder and we tried to get Scott Parker. We missed a real leader"

I read that yesterday and felt that TF would pull out the stops to keep JB.

also, I read about a month ago that WBA had enquired about junior and he said he didn't want to move

you sure that wasn't the tweet about BAE going on Eurostar and saying the loan was done?

glad AJ stayed, was hoping for a striker, but well happy with that business

It didn't help after 11 when they said on Sky Sports that as long as the relevant paperwork had been done, with wages offered etc that deals could still go through.
Stayed up till 1am in the end just hoping that we didn't lose anyone.
