  • 19 May to 03 Sept Where is the Club at??

A lot has happened since we exited Anfield and the Premier League 3 1/2 months ago

Plenty of players have left, a few players have come in, the strategy and ethos of the club appears to have totally changed.

So my question is are we a stronger club now taking everything into consideration then we were in May and with the players that have left have we steamed the flow of money going out the club to the point we may end up breaking even after out short experience in the Premier League

I personally think the club is not only stronger now but also has got its dignity back after to some extent pimping itself for two years

Well done to HR and the board for such a quick turnaround in terms of players, results on pitch and general mood of the club. Outstanding when you think about it.

comes in for a lot of stick Harry, but I reckon he has done a superb job getting rid of the high earners. We stand a good chance of a quick return to the PL, this time much better prepared. Tony and the board have been brilliant in their support too, don't get the credit they deserve

Much stronger now as a club and a team,we have made some great signings especially yesterday with 3 top players.

We lost 18 players and apart from Remy and Tarabbt we will not miss any of them,if Caesar goes back to Brazil as rumoured on LFW that would be another 3 million saved a year.

Harsh lessons have been learned but we now have a top class squad.

Plenty of talk in June that there was a rift between TF and Harry when we missed out on Bridge but in fairness the two of them together appear to have gone from strength to strength.

It's been an amazing turn around. Wouldn't have believed it could have happened so quickly. And the best thing is that it proves TF learns from his mistakes. So it surely means we will be stronger still.

Worked out quite well really. I'd rather have BAE than Bridge.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

We have to remember that we still have poor players on long contracts, whose salaries have to be paid well past the date their current loans expires. Factor in that we are probably paying on average 50% of their salaries despite playing elsewhere and that we still have a few (Cesar & Diakite, possibly Traore) here.

So, financially we aren't that much better off but by getting them out of training it has clearly created a VASTLY improved vibe amongst the current crop and that is a huge factor.

After the mistakes were made and we were relegated, loaning these players out was the only viable option with big names playing badly and earning mega bucks.

TF didn't make his money by being an idiot. He was naive when he took over and is the first to admit that, but he's learnt quickly and all the Harry knockers shouldn't enjoy their dinner, humble pie. Well done to everyone for restoring some pride and dignity back to our club. Let's crack on now, get promotion and become an established PL club.
Harry may not be everyone's cup of tea but he gets people playing for him and if they don't, he moves them on. Simple game plan, get people in who try and never give up and add a bit of flair along with proven players in this country and look what happens. Starting the season well obviously made us more attractive to the 3 loan signings and if they do help us to go up, then they may fancy being in our team rather than a reserve elsewhere.
The whole feeling around the place is upbeat and positive. What a transformation.

I think you have summed it up perfectly, West Acton.
In my opinion, the transformation is nothing short of miraculous.

Glad we didnt get Bridge, BAE is 10 times the player. Hardly pulling up trees at Reading either, last I heard he was injured anyway.

Agree wholeheartedly had we had the option of Bridge and BAE in June when the story kicked off I would have opted for BAE without thinking twice a far better left back then Bridge
