According to The Mail this morning,Harry "moved to sign Crouch for £2m last night".Obviously it came to nothing as far as I'm aware.Could we still go back an try and get him on loan as we're still a little lean on strikers?

I cant see that khunt Hughes doing us any favours by loaning us Crouch!2011-2013, 2 seasons in the Premiership, 76 games, 14 wins........two years of my life I'll never get back!!
2013/2014 mediocrity topped off with a win at Wembley....
2014/2015 was pretty much the same as 2011-2013.....
2015/2016, average at best.....
2016/2017, same old, same old....
2017/2018, aim low, avoid disappointment!
Its the hope that kills you!

He tried to get Crouch in January so it is believable. Not sure why he would need to lose AJ to get him though. Not as if he spent sod all compared to Hughes so there should be the budget to have both.
Crouch would mean no more Zamora so hope he comes on loan. That kind of player is always useful especially in the championship. Good to have more creative midfield guile now but sometimes to break teams down you need to kick down the door to do it.
Good window but the main weakness in the squad now would be that there are a lot of players who can be nullified the same way ie defend deep, deny space, two banks of four.
A Crouch type would break that defence up and create space for the flair players. Not all game every game but I think a lot of teams are going to defend in numbers now at Loftus Road. More difficult to break that down if you dont even have the option to mix it up on the bench. Rather see Crouch than Zamora doing that job.

For us that would mean around 29k."
