Ekotto: plays only for money, and Tarbs is his only phone contact!

As many of the posters here don't seem to follow football other than QPR, I though I'd post this article about Ekotto which I came across a few years back when I had him in my fantasy team and wanted to find out more about him.

I admire him for his honesty that he plays for the money, and one word of caution for the Taarabt haters - at least at that time Tarbs was the only phone contact he had from football!

I'm yet to come across a professional footballer that was prepred to play for Free ...........Not really sure what your point is

There's a few players out there that aren't in love with the game , there just lucky they have a talent for playing pro football, they all realise how lucky they are though.

You're not making any sense.

No one is saying footballers should play for free.

Everyone realises they have to earn money.

The difference is many footballers are passionate about the game, whereas Ekkoto said he isn't.

Anyway, I didn't even say there is anything wrong with that.

If he only plays for money then fair enough we use him during his loan spell to go up then don't sign him.

He is an excellent player, I doubt many people here have seen him play, but I have seen a lot of Spurs and this guy is quality.

i don't know about you, but I like to find out about players we have signed.

Well its worked on me. I hate Ekotto now, and don't ever want to see that toilet in a rangers shirt. And if he ever does I'm going to boo him and try and throw coins at the horrible bar steward. Thanks for sharing the info on the dog.

John Motson said last night he was a great signing, along with Tom Carroll, and Motty whose career is football has all my respect so I am sure he will do the job he has been employed to do and will gain many new friends at QPR.
